Now it's up to you to decide if you like it or not. : )

there really bad dont read them and dont see the movies.... :'( wish someone told me that

You will find the answer to your question in the lists that people read. Check on what people who LOVE those books read. If you agree with them on the choices they chose, please read them. If you hate their choices, you know what kind of books they like.
When someone tells me that they like a book and recommend it, I check out their book list. I read the first three. Good story line, terrible writing. Entertaining, yes. Educational? Hardly. Some teachers are using it in school, as "How not to write" lol.

No No Taylor, read on if ur a hopeless romantic like I, you will love it too.

lol I toatlly agree

I've read all Twilight books. It had the worst protagonist of all the books I've read so far. Bella makes poor decision about her life, and she let Edward's presence drag her. It made her weak because of this SUPER crazy love of her about him. She was first described as a smart-bookworm girl, and that description should have helped her make decisions throughout the books. It didn't. She was not a strong character.
I don't actually get the message that Stephenie Meyer was trying to portray in her books. Bella wanted to have sex. She wanted to become a vampire. She just wanted Edward. I know it's a romance novel, but I don't understand why the story went a bit too far, especially when the protagonist was just 16!!! Geez, think about your readers first before writing this story. I'm sure Teen Pregnancy just went up just because of this book!
I do like other characters though. Alice and Rosalie were perfect examples of strong-female character. The writing was okay; the author could've edited most of the unimportant scenes. But read this book ONLY if you LOVE romance novels. People LUST over Edward and Jacob, which I don't get at all. Edward and Jacob must have been what they call the "perfect boyfriends" -- just one of the few reasons why people 'love' the books.

If you don't mind me asking, did you watch the movie before you read Twilight?
And I may add from my last post, physical appearance add a lot in the books. Jacob's skin was described as "Hot". Another reason why people love the book.

I had heard about the guys and decided to read the books then watch the movies.

I've read all Twilight..."
Bless you Christian. :)

You know i have read those books at least ten times each (HUGE FAN) I didn't see any typos. Guess I need to read again. But even so the book was so good I probably wouldn't have noticed.

I've read all 4 books myself & really only enjoyed the first 3. There are plot mistakes & yeah, Stephanie Meyer likes to make her protagonists play the helpless victim role (Wanda in The Host reminded me completely of Bella :P). But that doesn't mean the story was bad. Although a strong female protagonist is much more interesting to me than a helpless one.
What I don't understand is why anyone would continue to read an entire series if they thought the books were crap. That just seems pointless & a waste of time to me. If you did't like the first book in a series, its pretty much guarunteed you won't like any of the others.

And then one day I was having a rough day. So I went to my library's online branch and put in a request for the e-book of Twilight. I read it in I think 2 days. I was hooked! It was just what I needed at that time, a distraction.
Then I read New Moon. I wasn't into it as much. Then I read Eclipse. I loved that one. The action, the back story of Jasper, Bella was slightly "brighter", and it was all good. But then Breaking Dawn... I gave up half way through. It was horrible to me. I was literally reading it and rolling my eyes and then I just closed it, shook my head, and was like, obviously she didn't care about writing this.
Point is, it's all up to you. The plot isn't original, the characters are just... The wording is sad. But it was entertaining. And I thought the movies were WAAAAAAAAY better than the books. Sorry, but the books lose in this round of books vs movies. The thing about books is that they all are not epic novels of learning. Some are just great ways to take a break and with that, I would say give it a chance. Give any book a chance. Every book is not this grand nobel prize. lol!

They don't suck, they are HORRIBLE.

I agree. Your comments make a lot of sense. Except when someone expresses a strong opinion one way or the other, and you go to see what they like, and their profile is blocked. Are the books people read really so personal?
Sorry, not answering the question. I enjoyed the series. I'm a fan. But I do read a lot, and there is a lot out there that I love.

i think you'll find eclipse more interesting than the others so give it a go!
but other than that all the books are great

Very weak choice/consequence in this book. I truly don't think Bella ever learned any lessons from her mistakes and she continued to act childish as well as selfish throughout the two that I read and the third that I... can't remember reading. But the fact that once she changed into a vampire and never had to suffer the consequences is what especially irked me. Very weak principle to the four books as well as little to teach the reader.
Since every book ever written has something philosophical to teach, I found nothing of any use in this story that would be able to teach the reader anything. Overall I'd rate it a junkie romance. Where there is nothing but idle material in the book's contents. Fantasy teaches about choices, good vs. evil etc. Mysteries teach about how to investigate and keep an open mind, and most romance novels teach about all the chivalrous romantic qualities of life. Twilight had the attention grabber for teenagers and had the romantic feeling, but it seemed as though it was missing the proper depth of what love was in my mind.
Bella's love was an obsession that wasn't very healthy for her in the second book. Overall, I think the author wrote a lot of... teenage drama material. Which I now can no longer handle because it's been affecting the young adults books at barnes and noble. Nothing but romance as far as the eye can see.
