@Dana: Great review, I haven't read RM yet because I'm worried that I should reread Silver Borne first. Is it necessary do you think?I'm a terrible person to ask that because I think that all series books should be read in order but not everyone gets a rash like I do when they read things out of sequence. ;P
There were quite a lot of developments in Adam and Mercy's relationship in Silver Borne that I think would be sad to miss out on. The stories are so good though you could practically read them in random order and still enjoy them!

for my 'ghosts' book. I'm about 50% thru already. It's a fast read. I'm enjoying it, as I always do - Charley is a hoot. I'm kinda bummed there hasn't been more with/about Reyes up to this point. Maybe in the last 1/2. ;)

Thanks, Sandra!Dana, I haven't read Grave Witch yet, so out of the other two .... hmmm, I really like both. Hard choice. Night Huntress is bit sexier and a quicker read (for me anyway) than Cassandra Palmer. Sorry - I think they are both worth starting. Maybe someone else will be of more help.
Dana, I've read Silver Borne! I was just wondering if it was worth rereading lol.I've only read TtD and HttG too and I agree with Steph on this so I'm not much help either.
TtD is definitely more complicated so some people aren't keen on it (and a lot say it's the weakest book in the series - I as a huge CP fan disagree, there are no weak books :P). Although that's why I'm always hesitant about recommending it. Have you got the next one on hand? There are a lot of details (not only because of the time-travelling element) and to remember them all, it'd be easier to read them closer together.

I'm looking forward to your review of the Charley Davidson book, Steph. I HATED how book 2 ended and vowed not to continue reading, unless I heard tons of good things about book 3. But now I think that the author is just stringing the readers along with the Reyes thing or maybe she just doesn't know what to do with him. You don't come up with such a cool love interest and then never have him show up in the books!

(You would think for someone who loves to read that I would be better at it, eh?) Sorry. I don't think you need to reread to go forward with RM. It was very different than the others and didn't dredge up tons of back story so you would be fine.

I just started a really loooong audiobook (50+ hours) because I'm a masochist. :) Don't worry, I'm only listening during times where I cannot read so I should be done with the book for the Ghost shelf in a day or two. :)BTW...the Gaiman book is doing OK but it's really a children's book.
Had you listed a 'free space' book yet Steph? I can't find that you had and was only asking to see if you would like to use 
as your free space read. Would you?

** ETA: Remembered I started that book @ at the end of Jan, so I cannot use it for the game. I'll look through the others I've read since the game started and see if one of those fit for the Free Space. If not, I'll choose something else. Thanks though. :)
I'm thinking it's a cute book, def. something kids would enjoy. I'm almost done with it so I should be ready with my review later today.
I haven't read any of Neil Gaiman's books yet but I loved the Doctor Who episode he wrote, definitely one of my faves :)
I've read a few Gaiman books and they can be a bit hit or miss since the man has an incredible range for storytelling. I'm going to bore you with my Gaiman opinion now....
was quite good but definitely a YA book. 
was really cool and it is one I would recommend both to fantasy and UF lovers. (I had wished this was a series since it had the potential.)
is one that I have been listening to the audiobook for a while now and although I'm still a bit on the fence at present, I'm getting the feeling it is going to end really well so I just might have to love it.
(which he wrote with Terry Pratchet) is awesome and I recommend it to everyone!!! It is a really different writing style as it has footnotes on almost every page. (This turns some people off at first so you are warned.) That is one of the things that I love about it though. It reminds me of listening to individuals from England talk. They have the ability to 'footnote' their conversations really well. British person telling you a story: "...when it was actually a chair, [insert shnarky, yet bland, but interesting side comment here], so you can see why I told him it was impossible!"
[shnarky + bland + interesting] is a really tough one to pull off effectively as you really just didn't expect to see it. It's like [warthog + garter belt + Volvo], you just didn't see that one coming. Instead though, the whole freakin' country is like born with the skill! It just pours out of them. I love it!

Review: I thought this was a cute story, definitely something children would enjoy. I can't say I was entranced by it but I really liked how it ended (it made me tear up!) This is the first book I've read by this author and it definitely won't be my last.

Review: In Demonglass (or Raising Demons), Sophie is spending the summer with her dad. I went in fully expecting to hate him but was pleasantly surprised, they build a great father-daughter bond. Soph, of course, was at her snarky best causing some funny moments and I'm glad it takes place in England instead of the school for this one since it kept it quite fresh. I'm not going to say much about the plot because I don't want to spoil any of this book or Hex Hall but the ending left me really excited to read Spell Bound. Overall this is a turning out to be a great, funny YA series :)
I'm probably not going to be able to read a book for the next shelf right away since I'm in Spain for a week on Sat for uni. I doubt I'll have internet but I'll try to read a book on the flight and hope it fits. Have a good week all :)

Third Grave Dead Ahead is the third book in Darynda's Charley Davidson series. Due to Charley's relationship with the enigma that is Reyes, I recommend readers start with book 1, First Grave on the Right and read the books in order.
In Third Grave , Charley and Cookie try to find a doctor's missing wife. Only Charley believes he's responsible for her disappearance. Then, comes her family issues. She's able to reconnect with her sister, Gemma. However, her father starts insisting she leave the PI business because it's too dangerous. Charley's internal alternative job ideas are hilarious. Uncle Ubie continues to offer her support. And, Garrett Swopes continues to shadow her, for her safety, as ordered by her Uncle. Finally, she continues her search for information on Reyes. During that search, she finally meets the mysterious blogger, Mistress Marigold.
Charley is absolutely, without a doubt, one of the funniest characters I have read. And, Cookie, her BFF, neighbor, and assistant is equally hilarious. The two of them together ... a laugh a minute. I have so much fun reading these books; I'm always sad when one ends and the long wait until the next one begins. Darynda manages to mix passion, suspense, mystery, and humor into each book. This series is definitely one of my favorites.
I know many people, me included, were frustrated by Charley's actions in Second Grave on the Left. But, the only complaint I have about this addition is that there wasn't more of Reyes. The last 1/4 of the book was chilling, heartbreaking, touching, and exciting! As always, Darynda keeps us on the edge of seat until the last page. Then, leaves us dying for more. Fourth Grave Beneath My Feet is due sometime in 2013 and that's just not fast enough for me.

REVIEW: This is one of my favorite books. I love the whole tortured soul thing and Conrad Wroth fits the bill. I liked the part where he knew instantly that if he went into Elencourt Manor that he would be changed forever. Neomi is just like this is my home go tear up some other home. But they learned how to get past their differences and help each other out on their difficult situations. And Conrad in the process of destroying his foe got his heart pumping again. Neomi on the other hand got cut down. But with Conrad's mind anything is possible.

Have you read that series before now, Juana? If not, I'm sorry, hun, but you can't read that one. For this shelf, players must pick a book from a series they have already started and is among their favorites. You could definitely choose it for your *New-to-you: Series whenever (if) it's called. Or, I'm sure it'll show up on one of the other shelves, like PNR, 5★, alpha male, etc.Sorry!
