Combining Books

I'm still chipping away at a few at-risk books.

I rescued this book: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13...

But, I had to reverse the order of the author's names in order to combine the editions. The book was authored by Marion Chesney, but she currently writes as M.C. Beaton, and the Kindle edition lists Beaton first.

Why does combine only work for the first author listed? Is this the way it is designed to work, or am I missing something?

This is how it's designed to work. If Marion Chesney is the same as M.C. Beaton, it may be possible to combine the author profiles but that's done in another thread.

I assume I have been doing some things the hard way, so I was hoping in this case there may be an easier way. Thanks, Sandra. I might look into some time in the future.
