Disambig-ing after the imports are done.

Say I rescued a book by John^^^Smith just by typing "John Smith" into the rescue box, would this now be attributed to John^Smith or if it was originally attributed to John^^^Smith would it stay as such? I'm willing to help go through a big disambig later in the week if it's needed but I'm wondering how many titles this could affect (if any).

I know I'm getting a little pre-emptive with this but as the data is starting to go I thought I'd best check. It could become a lot of work but I feel like I haven't helped rescue many books so I thought I'd be super on it with the clean-up.

Unless you manually enter the ^^^, it will revert to John^Smith.

I didn't even think about this - I suspect it would have reverted back to John^Smith... yikes!

I believe though, that anything to changed due to the rescue should be unaffected - if the author was already sourced to a GR member (which it should have been if it had been disambiguated) the imports skipped over it.

Maybe Rivka can confirm that?

Sadly, no such luck.

Cleanup should be fun.
