Ah Nya...You love all the action/blood and guts/horror stuff don't ya? :P But I agree...Collins was fearless in that respect...Ross should be too. (Though I may have nightmares for a few weeks...)

Agreed.
Agreed.
And that's why it's PG-13. I don't think it will be horribly gory (I mean, it's not Rated-R) but it won't be all sunshine, blackedout scenes and ponies.
I'm imagining Peeta riding up to Katniss on a white horse and her getting on behind him. Strange image.
Katniss...on a pony...time for a nervous breakdown.
I don't think they can risk rating it R for gore. Because the audience is going to be all eighteen or under, mostly.

Unfortunately. It's what they're doing to all young adult books that turn into movie franchises.

Ugh, I know right. I'm always scared theyre gonna give a part another name or something. That would just ruin it.

Agreed....again it's just to make more money...the more movies, the more movie tickets :/

But still...

HI Grace. Nice to meet you. I'm Lauren.
Anyway, yes I think they'll show him getting dragged... not into the cornucopia it seems. Then they'll just make sure you hear his screams. and I think they'll show his face and Katniss' arrow fly into his skull.

I know...but for the sake of keeping their audience and blah, it'll probably be less graphic...
If you think about it, The Hunger Games aren't too graphic. Maybe Cato's death would earn it a PG-13. Other than that, Katniss just shoots people through the heart. There was worse in the blue-people Avatar (which, by the way, was Pocahontas redone)

Oh it was? I never saw it. I agree with you Snickerdoodle. I'm curious to find out what bumped Hunger Games from PG to PG-13.
Because we know there're no nudity scenes, not when she's covered by that blue paper...
If this thing is bumped to PG, I'm boycotting until I have to give in.

I'm a boycotting sort of person. I have no problem exercising my First Amendment rights. Even though minors really have no rights -_-

Well, it's true that Collins didn't hold back on her descriptions. However, it's one thing to read the descriptions, and it's another to view them...I'll agree with the others-they can't afford to make it rated R.
Yes. That's what I like about books. Not so disgusting. Though I do stay away from... I don't know steamy romance books. Those descriptions can get a little scary.

Yes, yes they can:P
