Okay! Margaritas for me! Let's toast Heiderson.

message 152: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) I'll drink to Heidi anytime.

Jim | 6484 comments Here's to Heiderson, one of the nicest people you will ever meet.

(I actually like the bear face by the way)

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments You guys are just trying to buy time out from behind the ficus. It won't work! Although, for the life of me, I can't understand why you'd want to get out of a valid excuse for margarita time.

evie (ecie) | 4437 comments Is your television situation the same as in America? That is, do you Australians watch more reality shows or sitcoms?

It's probably much the same . I watch very little television. I don't want to watch medical procedures. I have watched a "filthy house" show accidently .

Do I Floss?

Yes I do and I attend the dentist for regular checks and cleaning.

I use whatever floss mr evie buys at the supermarket. I think flossing is disgusting and a very private function. I certainly don't want to find any used floss floating in the toilet.

We certainly do not want that.

Can I correctly assume, then that Mr. Evie does the majority of the shopping at your Sydnionaisain abode?

evie (ecie) | 4437 comments Lobstergirl wrote: "Is that located in the Shire?"

I live in the eastern suburbs. The shire is south of the city. I haven't watched the reality show of the same name.

I grew up in the shire . I haven't lived there for thirty years but my Mum still lives in the family home.

Lobstergirl | 24778 comments Mod
Oh, you grew up in the Shire? I was actually referring to Tolkien's Shire.

I don't drive.

Hi there my Melbourne friend . How is the weather down south?

message 171: by Emily (new)

Emily E (emily_e1) | 1032 comments We have lived up to our four seasons reputation today. Started grey and rainy, turned into beautiful sunshine and blue skies (for a few hours), and now it is definitely heater weather again ;)

message 173: by evie (new)

evie (ecie) | 4437 comments What do you do as far as medicine when you have a sore throat? Do you gargle salt water, suck on lozenges, or eat asprin?

I sometimes gargle with salt water, sometimes suck a lozenge . I might take paracetamol but I don't do aspirin. I tell the rest of the family to gargle with salt water when they have sore throats. My daughter never does it, but mr evie does. He also gargles with aspirin and rubs Vicks on his throat too. I never do that.

do you knit? Crochet? Cross-stitch?

What do you do with your fingers when not on GR or reading or TCing?

My sewing skills are poor. Years ago I knitted part of jumper(pullover). I did some crochet way back in high school. I made a shopping bag for mum. The yarn was nylon and really stretchy,so when she filled it with fruit and veg it just about dragged on the ground.

I like to draw.

The founder of the group and a few of us broke off of another group that was together since 2007 called MiniAmsterdam. When MiniAm started breaking up we wanted a place to be silly and happy and not so strict with all the specific thread rules other groups had at the times.

He has since left this group to run Running With Scissors.

evie (ecie) | 4437 comments A friend of mine shops there regularly and loves it. She rings me sometimes when she 's there to tell me what I'm missing and what she's buying. She is a great cook and so is her husband so they buy up and come home and have a cook off.
