The Man of My Dreams by Gladys Quintal so-so In the Shadow of Vesuvius by Liz Carmichael liked it Time Child and Other Stories by Lexi Revellian enjoyed it

Yes Emma I did like Alice Parker.

I have read more - but it has been freebie fluff, lots going on at work (twice as much stuff to finish in half the time) so reading has been an escape.

I'm halfway to my target now that I have read The Surreal Killer by Jerold Last

I've counted "our authors" and started a separate challenge thread. I just need to find out whether Libby Malin counts as one of "ours" as she doesn't have her own thread but is part of Istoria Books http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/7...

Goodnight Dear The Unsentimental Diary Of A Bereaved Husband by Darren HumphriesJake West The Keeper of the Stones by M.J. WebbThe Fashion Police by Sibel HodgeMore Than Memories by Kristen James

Jay-me (Janet) | 3784 comments Books 74, 75 and 76 are actually (is actually?) one book split into three parts. Goodreads counts it as three separate books, so for the purposes of the challenge that is how they will stay. Besides I doubt that it would make a difference to reaching the total that I set for this challenge.

Poison Oak Summer (#1) by A.K. Dawson Poison Oak Summer (#2) by A.K. Dawson Poison Oak Summer (#3) by A.K. Dawson

Jay-me (Janet) | 3784 comments Book 77 was a book of short stories and 78 I finished straight after lunch today.

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments As long as you never forget the rules.

Never ever forget the rules.

Jay-me (Janet) | 3784 comments Now adding 79 & 80

Hal Spacejock by Simon Haynes Sloane Hall by Libby Sternberg

which also takes me to 53 books by 36 different authors on my other challenge.

Jay-me (Janet) | 3784 comments When I added the last ones today the challenge thingie suggested I increased my challenge target. There are quite a few short stories included so far.
Added three more - 81 followed by two lots of short stories 82 & 83

The Runaway Actress by Victoria Connelly One Shot Three Stories of Crime by Gavin Bell Relationship Status by David Wailing

Jay-me (Janet) | 3784 comments Current total is 84 out of 120

I don't know whether to leave the target at 120 or increase it - don't know what would happen when I reach that number of books read. Obviously the challenge would say completed, but would it carry on counting the books?

Book number 84 was Build A Man (Serenity Holland, Book 1) by Talli Roland which also makes 56 books by 38 different GR authors for my other challenge.

Jay-me (Janet) | 3784 comments Cracking on with books 85 and 86

Jay-me (Janet) | 3784 comments I didn't read much this last week, but have managed to get going again since arriving back home from the camping trip. So here are books 92, 93, 94, 95 and 96

The Doomsday Prophecy (Ben Hope, #3) by Scott Mariani Sing Me Home (Love Finds a Home, #1) by Jerri Corgiat Love's Destiny Foretold by Mary Fisherov The Assassins' Village by Faith Mortimer Nowhere Left to Hide by Elle Amberley

My other challenge is now 62 books by 42 different authors

Jay-me (Janet) | 3784 comments Book 100 is stuck between books 99 and 101 but it deserves some special attention so

fireworks

Demoniac Dance (The Goblin Series, #2) by Jaq D. Hawkins To the Grave (A Genealogical Crime Mystery #2) by Steve Robinson The Wedding Dress (The Survivors Club) by Ellie Keaton

& that makes 67 books by 45 different authors in my "our authors" challenge.

Now I have to decide whether to update the Goodreads Challenge, or just complete it as it is -aiming for 120 books - and just carry on counting on this thread.

It looks like a lot of books - but Jud has read about the same number and Sarah has read more than I have. There are also quite a few short stories included.

Jay-me (Janet) | 3784 comments Adding number 102 which I had read earlier but for some reason hadn't included it. Plus number 103 by one of my favourite authors.
Two Penny Blue by L.K. Jay Snuff (Discworld, #39) by Terry Pratchett

Jay-me (Janet) | 3784 comments 104, 105 and 106
I've nearly reached my original target of 120. I've decided that when I add book number 119 I will increase the target by the number of short stories that I have read.

O.K. - I know what I mean

Philip (sarah) Willis | 4630 comments Your challenge is going really well Janet,I wish I had kept note of the number of different authors.I have all the titles and authors recorded under a heading for each month in a notebook but I am afraid that's as technical as I get.Go You!

You have read a lot more than me!!

I like making lists and sorting things out. Added to my enjoyment in rooting through old records for my family history research I suppose my dream job would be an archivist.

I'm just composing a letter to one of my dad's cousins, hoping that she can fill in some gaps about a couple of dad's uncles who moved to Canada.

A Little Bit Psychic Pride & Prejudice with a Modern Twist by Aimée Avery She Looks Pale by Kate Rigby Charlotte ~ Pride & Prejudice Continues by Karen Aminadra Mr. Collins's Last Supper A Short Story Inspired by Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice by Shannon Winslow
Three based on Pride & Prejudice, and one other recommended by Ignite.
I enjoyed the modern version of P & P, not as keen on the short story sequel but the longer sequel was enjoyable.
I'm struggling for words to describe the one recommended by Ignite.

Jay-me (Janet) | 3784 comments I'm approaching a couple of milestones with my challenges now that I have reached 117 -I've almost reached my original target of 120 and have also added 49 different "our authors"

It would be neat if book 120 was the 50th author. I will have to study my TBR list and see what I can come up with.
Unless anyone has any suggestions?
