Splitting books between authors who have the same name...

when there is only one author profile under that name.

How to do this?

(Also, are there any further guidelines apart from the librarian manual? Couldn't find this in there ... too many questions!)

Its called disambiguation and we use spaces if there is no other was i.e. initial

John Smith can change to John W. Smith if he has a middle inital

if there is no initial then

John^Smith
John^^Smith
John^^^Smith

Edit: Add the following to each author profile

Librarian Note: There is more than one author in the GoodReads database with this name.

An as a librarian note enter "John^Smith"

If you edit an author profile, there is a link called "disambiguate" this is a quick way to move books to a new profile
