Something People Have Never Really Noticed About Edward

I got so pissed at Robert Pattinson in the movies because he always had chest hair sticking out of his shirt... Edward wasn't supposed to have any body hair! Lol.

I also love Edward, I don't think he is stalking... he is very protective and loves Bella so much he wants to be with her all the time. Plus he is a vampire and is awake 24/7. He has to fill the hours somehow!! Another thing, ( just thought of it) Jacob is also very overprotective of Bella and is always showing up out of nowhere. The both of them don't seem to see Bella as a capable girl who can take care of herself. ( well, sometimes)
LOL!!!!! He is a stalker. A gentleman would let her have her privacy, haha. But seriously, this is why I loved Jacob in the books.
Plus, the whole thing about him being, like, 106 years old, and he's still in high-school and dating high-school girls (right, well, ONE girl, but still). When I was in high-school, I would have thought it was creepy for a 20 year old to want to date a high-school girl. lol. Well, it's an adolescent love fantasy. Whattaya gonna do.

I just looked a little bit of info. You're right. A vampire is suppose to lose their body hair 10 years after their transformation.
Another thing. Where are the fangs? They never show fangs on any Twilight movie. I mean, come on, show some fangs for crying outloud.

Very well put!! I love your point of view.. but I would also like to add that Edward's been alive for a very long time, without sleeping.. what else is he to do all night? LOL I believe he watches her, as you said, out of protection, love and also because he's fascinated by it. He can't sleep and to watch her is very alluring to him. Plus she talks in her sleep.
I know it's weird and stalkery, but I would love Edward Cullen to come watch me sleep! ;) Also in the beginning, he was trying to understand his feelings for her.

Ok, so maybe Edward was a bit of a stalker.. I believe he did it for the right reasons, and I'd be flattered to be in Bella's position! But, as someone said earlier, it is about permission, and he didn't have that at first. But, I do love Edward and would pick him over Jacob any day. Jacob may not have exactly been a stalker, but he was close, plus he was whiny and immature.. and, I just think vamps are hotter than wolves! LOL The key is knowing reality from fantasy, that's one thing a lot of people (esp younger) don't have. That's where they can get into trouble using these relationships as an example of good ones.

Thank you. I mean, I know Edwards a stalker, but people are like ignoring the facts and putting Jacob on some type of pedistal.
I was a little bit creeped out by that, but if you really have to cut him some slack. After all, he IS a vampire, and he was waiting for Bella for about 100 years. Kinda creepy and kinda not at the same time. (that doesn't really make sense, does it =)
Haha Edward is a stalker. He makes the saying "I stare at you in your sleep" true!!I think why Meyer did this was to make Edward "different" than others; the first hint of vampirism. Hmm maybe it's just the vampire way to be a stalker!! :)

I think this is one of my main issues with the series, hearing young girls express the desire for their boyfriend to be just like Edward. I worked in a book shop I heard this a lot!!
You're left thinking really? You want your first boyfriend to break into your house to stare at you, take apart your car so you can't see your friends because they are 'dangerous' and then propose to you at 18? To me it seems the part young girls are in love with is that he is hot and rich which seem to be his only other major character traits aside from stalker.

Fictional stories can explore and have real affects on their readers. Look at Animal Farm, a book about animals on a farm but the ideologies explored had real repercussions.

I read about an inbetweem book on here that Stephanie Meyer wrote. Its a book written from Edwards point of view the first time he saw Bella. It was illegally distributed so she stopped writing it but put it on her website to download. Its called 'Midnight Sun' It explains what he was thinking when stalking her. I am currently reading and loving it. Its brilliant, I'm so disapointed she felt she couldn't continue due to the betrayal. Hopefully one day she may finish it.

It was Someone close that distributed it. She talks about it on her website. I only found out about the book 2 days ago and Im so glad I did!!

Yeah, she let some copies out, I think to see what people thought (only speculation of course, I haven't spoken to SM about it ;) and one of them people let it slip. Such a shame.

Ever checked out The Infernal Devices series? I don't know if it'll make sense if you haven't read The Mortal Instruments but it's set in the 1800's. In London. Very old fashioned, british accent talk :)

And Jacob is an emotional blackmailing pedophile. Neither of them are great guys.
Edward is a stalker, yes. He's also controlling and manipulative and a liar. He lies to Bella throughout all the books. Don't get me started on Jacob. He's immature, self centered and manipulative. Neither of them is a good example of a decent boyfriend.

I have to admit that I love Edward and I love Twilight but I agree...he had stalker tendencies. The watching her while sleeping, showing up when she was being harassed by those idiot creeps etc etc...still love him though

Ah, yeah. But isn't is explained that wolves basically just feel like a protector until their imprints grow up? I really don't see that being possible because they would always be wondering what their imprint would grow up to be like and how it will be with them...

He didnt know that Edward would think it was Bella's funeral. Though he could have elaborated about the situation. I think he was just really pissed that the phone call interupted him trying to make a move on Bella. As far as "teams" go, its pointless to decide wich team your on because it doesnt matter in the end. They all end up on the same team wich is team Renesme.
