Something People Have Never Really Noticed About Edward

A bit hairy though lol"
I got so pissed at Robert Pattinson in the movies because he always had chest hair sticking out of his shirt... Edward wasn't supposed to have any body hair! Lol.

Director fail!

Well, it's an adolescent love fantasy. Whattaya gonna do.

I think Edwards like 17 or 18... He was quite a man yet when he got turned.

But threatening to kill yourself in battle if the girl you like doesn't kiss you is totally okay??
creepy stalker vs suicidal emotional blackmailer...decisions decisions

I just looked a little bit of info. You're right. A vampire is suppose to lose their body hair 10 years after their transformation.
Another thing. Where are the fangs? They never show fangs on any Twilight movie. I mean, come on, show some fangs for crying outloud.
loose body hair after ten years? i never knew that.

The President KNOWS THEY ARE THERE!!!
You enter the life of someone, watch them endlessly and obsess over them without their knowledge it's called STALKING!
I hear the thump of a restraining order being stamped by a judge.

However, I disagree.
Sure, on the surface, Edward's actions are very creepy and stalkerish, for your average Joe - or ..."
Very well put!! I love your point of view.. but I would also like to add that Edward's been alive for a very long time, without sleeping.. what else is he to do all night? LOL I believe he watches her, as you said, out of protection, love and also because he's fascinated by it. He can't sleep and to watch her is very alluring to him. Plus she talks in her sleep.
I know it's weird and stalkery, but I would love Edward Cullen to come watch me sleep! ;) Also in the beginning, he was trying to understand his feelings for her.

What? I totally disagree! I loved it! I think it showed just how much he loved her, and what all he went through to make the decision and be with her.. If she would ever finish it and publish it, I would be in line to get it the day it came out..

The key is knowing reality from fantasy, that's one thing a lot of people (esp younger) don't have. That's where they can get into trouble using these relationships as an example of good ones.

But threatening to kill yourself in battle if the girl you like doesn't kiss you is totally okay??

Haha true, true. Edward might be possesive but Jacob is emotionally unstable!

Thank you. I mean, I know Edwards a stalker, but people are like ignoring the facts and putting Jacob on some type of pedistal.

I think why Meyer did this was to make Edward "different" than others; the first hint of vampirism. Hmm maybe it's just the vampire way to be a stalker!! :)

"
I think this is one of my main issues with the series, hearing young girls express the desire for their boyfriend to be just like Edward. I worked in a book shop I heard this a lot!!
You're left thinking really? You want your first boyfriend to break into your house to stare at you, take apart your car so you can't see your friends because they are 'dangerous' and then propose to you at 18? To me it seems the part young girls are in love with is that he is hot and rich which seem to be his only other major character traits aside from stalker.

Well it's not like that can ever happen though, he's FICTIONAL. It doesn't really harm them to think that, plus tons of people do that over fictional characters that AREN'T Edward or Jacob. They do it with Jacob too, and he isn't the perfect role model either.

Yes but if readers think the behaviour exhibited by Edward eg, stoping Bella from seeing her friends, breaking into her house, or the actions of Bella shutting down when he dumps her, or Jacob threatening suicide if someone doesn't say they love you (a common occurrence in emotionally abusive relationships) is "normal" or acceptable then it is a problem.
Fictional stories can explore and have real affects on their readers. Look at Animal Farm, a book about animals on a farm but the ideologies explored had real repercussions.

Yeah, that is true, good point. I haven't read Animal Farm but I saw the animated movie.

But arent' all vampires stalkers? Dracula was a notorious stalker! He was always sneaking into ladies bedrooms watching them before biting them so...
I don't like Edward. Jacob is SOOOO much better. I mean, are you kidding me? He is completely stalker-esque? Who watches a girl sleep?? That's not sweet... it's creepy!!!!

I am currently reading and loving it. Its brilliant, I'm so disapointed she felt she couldn't continue due to the betrayal. Hopefully one day she may finish it.

Basically blackmailing someone to kiss you is so much better...

exactly!!!!!!!!!! precisely why i think edward is a freaky creepo.
exactly!!!!!!!!!! precisely why i think edward is a freaky creepo.

So you think he's creepy in "Twilight" but when it comes to "Midnight Sun" he's okay? That makes no sense... Lol.

I understand. I liked it alot because I felt like he spoke/thought more sophisticated than Bella. I'm just a fan of older language :)

Ever checked out The Infernal Devices series? I don't know if it'll make sense if you haven't read The Mortal Instruments but it's set in the 1800's. In London. Very old fashioned, british accent talk :)

And Jacob is an emotional blackmailing pedophile. Neither of them are great guys.

Well, he's not exactly a pedophile seeing as he and Bella are the same age, haha. More like a just a perv xD

I was thinking of that whole Renesmee thing

I dont think Jacob really lied. He just said that Charlie was planning a funeral. He didnt know that Edward would think it was Bella's funeral. Though he could have elaborated about the situation. I think he was just really pissed that the phone call interupted him trying to make a move on Bella. As far as "teams" go, its pointless to decide wich team your on because it doesnt matter in the end. They all end up on the same team wich is team Renesme.
