Zanaija hunter WARNING IF HAVE NOT READ THIS BOOK THE BEWARE OF SPOILERS! do you think Bella should have chosen Jacob instead of Edward

message 2: by Eve (new) - rated it 4 stars

Eve James No, Edward was the love of her life, he was her air she couldn't live without. Jacob was her best friend who she loved, there is a difference. On a personal note, after seeing the movies, I would have picked Jacob ;0)

Shanna Leah should have had a happy ending.

message 4: by Cat (new) - rated it 5 stars

Cat This is the conversation I had with my ittle bro after seeing BD

Amy: Wasn't that AWESOME?!!!!?
Bro: Leah should be with Seth
Amy: They're brother and sister, it'd be like you and me going out, duh
Bro: *Runs away screaming* EEEEEEEWWWWWWW!

Aww how cute :)

Amanda She was never going to choose JAcob. She never loved him like Edward. And if she had chosen to be with him she would never truly be happy as she'd always be thinking of Edward & that would be unfair on everyone.

Nicole In the books, Jacob came across as a whinny, little poop. He really pissed me off. It didn't translate the same way in the movies.

Bella was meant to be with Edward from day one. Jacob was meant to imprint on Renesmee from day one. That's just the way it was going to be from the beginning.

On a personal note, I think Edward was the right choice for a husband. Jacob was the best choice for a friend. I could have done without the imprinting on a baby...it's creepy.

Nya Tomlinson-Horan-Malik-Payne-Styles well, in a perfect world, yes. but that wouldnt happen because jacob's soul mate is bella's daughter, awkward.

Kirby Shanna wrote: "Leah should have had a happy ending."

I agree!

Yasmeen i think edward was perfect for her, but to answer the question "what should've been?" i think jacob really shouldn't have imprinted on Renesmee, it was way too weard. and yeah, i really wanted Leah to have a happy ending, but it gets really silly when everybody in whatever story gets their happy ending. and one more think about the whole sequel, i really hated the thing about how Edward glitters in the sun, it's absurd. and i wasn't exactly diggin the fact of how many times Bella had described him as beautiful in every book..

Shanna Well perhaps not a happy ending but at least the beginning of one, which I guess she sort kinda got, not being linked directly to Sam any more she could move on.

message 12: by brooke1994 (new)

brooke1994 I don't hate Edward and Bella, but I think it should have been Jacob and Bella in the end. I think that they understand each other a little more than Edward understands Bella. As for the imprinting, I don't care, it put Jacob out of his heartbreak. Plus, imprinting is involuntary... Jacob couldn't help it.

no i think bella should have been with jacob all along.

george ☽ soemthing should have happened with Leah

But i am so glad that Bella picked Eddie (no, that just sounds wrong. Ed? Icklewickledonkey? Okay... just, NO! I'll just stick with Edward.)

I disagree and so did the author, apparently. The point of my post was that from the beginning of the series, Bella was always going to be with Edward.

oh okay

Kamalika Talukdar Bella had two futures.both were perfect,at the same time time both was impossible.since she had gone mad already,it didn't matter really which future she would choose(i.e, it was obvious)

Nicole I mean, imagine what would have happened if she had chosen Jacob:
1. She wouldn't have a baby that was eating her from the inside out
2. She wouldn't be a vampire
3. She could live more of a normal life
4. Her dad would be happy
5. She wouldn't have to continuously move from place to place
6. She wouldn't be a vampire
7. She wouldn't be a vampire
8. She wouldn't be a vampire

Oooh, what could have been.....

But then again, Edward is the love of her life, she can't live without him, etc.

Well, about the imprinting, it's not so awkward (in my opinion). I mean, of course he was going to imprint on her as a baby. He imprints on her the day he meets her. It's not like she's going to be born as a teenager. Besides, it doesn't mean he has to marry her. It means he's like a protecter. And also, I recall the books saying that he won't grow up as fast as others. So one day they will be the same age. Then it won't be creepy. And once he umm... retires, from being a werewolf, then he will age and they won't be completely off balance.

but nessy will stop aging at a certain point, so jacob should stay a werewolf forever!!!

Amanda Nicole wrote: "Nicole wrote: "In the books, Jacob came across as a whinny, little poop. He really pissed me off. It didn't translate the same way in the movies.

Agreed. Plus the fact that Renesme grows at a rapid pace.

Laura Shanna wrote: "Leah should have had a happy ending."

I thought Jacob would have got together with Leah as they started to get along when she joined his 'pack'. I think that would have been better than him imprinting on 'Nessie'. Plus they both experienced heartbreak, would have made a nice ending?..

Mercury well heres how i would of wanted the ending to be bella ends up with Edward they have Renesme Jacob doesn't imprint on her and runs away with Leah

Nicole No, the imprinting thing is simply creepy IMO.

i respect your opinion very much, reminds me of the movie Little Black Book, "in a happy ending, it doesn't have to be that the girls gets the boy, or in my case the two boys". made me cry the first time i saw the movie. i've always embraced the idea that the girl doesn't have to get the to live happily and truly embrace life.

Same here.

Sable Any one else think that she should have waited before choosing either one? I mean...why would she immediatly decided that Edward was going to be the love of her life? Now that she's a vampire she's going to be stuck with him for a VERY long time...

Thank you I'll have to watch The Little Black Book now.
I agree HEA's don't have include "The One", nice if it can happen, but the HEA shouldn't hinge on it. Though they are Romance novels....
