Kathy | 233 comments I'm having some trouble with Ernest Hemingway. (This would doubtless please him.)

This edition and several others of The Old Man and the Sea and A Moveable Feast show an "original publication date" of 1354. I change it in the edits page, save, and find on returning to the book record that it has changed right back to the incorrect date. What am I overlooking?

Elizabeth (Alaska) I think there is something with one of the data imports. I changed it wrong, realized it was wrong and changed it again. Let's see what happens!

It has nothing to do with the imports, per se. (They were probably forcing resets to the first pub field, but that was only a problem because there was bad data.)

I edited the two editions that had pub dates from the Persian calendar.

Moloch | 3975 comments "The Alchimist" by P. Coelho has 1381 too.

Sandra | 31526 comments Moloch, one of the editions had 1381, I've removed it. Please put the correct date in now.

Sean (seanwest) | 1 comments I changed the original publication date for A Moveable Feast from 1387 back to 1964 just not but looking at the edit history shows a steady tug of war over the date still.

Because you never fixed the problematic edition, which means almost every edit to any of the editions would cause it to go back to the earliest edition date listed.

I fixed the problem edition.
