Good cor you Daniela! Don't let anyone change you either. I'm not into romance much either. I really have to be in the mood for it.

It's quite funny, because my favorite author is Jane Austen, who did nothing but romance. But really enjoy her commentary on society and expectations.
I don't dislike romance... in fact I love romance. Its just that I feel no interest in a book where there are only two main characters and all they want to do is shag each other. I prefer a romance to be secondary, or as a side plot necessary for the larger plot.
A great example is Armada vs. Ready Player One, both by the same author. RPO had a great plot, and the romance added a dimension to the plot. It was necessary for the continuation of the story, but it didn't take the place of the larger central point of the book.
Armada, however, had a romance that was almost unnecessary at all. It was hardly there, and didn't really move any players into any positions. It was used as a plot device, but they could have be just been friends and it would have been the same. It took away from the family aspect that was crucial in the major plot.
Lol, sorry for the tirade!

1 I love food, I eat too much, watch tv shows about food, watch videos of people eating or cooking and I buy way too many cook books
2 I love shopping especially books, shoes, make up and gifts for friends and family ( actually the last one is my fav)
3 I hate the horror genre whether in books or movies
4 I actually enjoy studying but my friends find it weird... Now that I finished my first uni degree and I am waiting for my master to start I've started learning a new language and I do miss studying ☹
5 I have become a too big of a fan of BTS (boyband) and they take up too much of my time....

BTS!! My younger sister went to Mexico last week and bought my older sister a BTS shirt, thinking it was CNBlue... XD
I love kpop as well, but I prefer older groups to newer ones. I have only three BTS songs on my phone, sorry! My one true love is f(x) tho.

It seems that every book has romance in it these days in some form. I don't mind so much either when it isn't the focal point of the story. I love Amanda Quick but I realky need to be in the mood to read her.

You totally have me at #2 Phoenix. Although since I have gotten older I'm not as crazy about buying shoes but still love them. I used to have a pair for every outfit.

I've never heard of her, so I checked her page real quick. I have to say, I would never have picked her books up because it looks so...so.. Danielle Steel? By that I mean, very obviously romance. I'm horrible, as I ALWAYS judge by cover unless the book is thrust into my hands by a friend.

Ha ha, that's great! I like other bands as well, but my sister says that I'm mostly into BTS so she must know better....

She is romance Daniela. Under the name Quick she writes historical romance. Love her though!

Oh! Lol, I get that. I'm a huge Austen fan, and I've liked some romance novels here and there. However I prefer them filled with lots of comedy instead of angst.. which is kinda harder to find.
Funny enough, I do read romance fanfiction... primarily Harry Potter. Does that count? XDDD

2.-Virgin and Proud! I feel no shame in my virginity, as I choose it.
3.-I hate contemporary romance... I don't enjoy romance based plots at all.
4.-My respects towards translators. The few times I've tried to read a book in Spanish (Harry Potter, and Thousand years of Solitude) I have felt totally disconnected to the story, despite Spanish being my first language.
5.-I hated cheating with a passion, but I did cheat constantly in middle school grammar. The rules seemed so silly to me, and being bilingual made them twice as hard. I always went by what sounded 'natural' in the language when said out loud. I barely know what a noun is, and don't ask me about adjectives or anything more complicated than that.
extra: 6.- I make constant typos. Sorry in advance!
