Mortal Instruments or Infernal Devices?
I only read 1 of TMI and I'm not even halfway through Clockwork Angel but so far I think I like TID better!

Oh man its tough because my first favorites was tmi because of how clary and jace started out the heartbreaking news that they were siblings and how they worked things out in the end....buuuuuut I absolutely ADORE the infernal devices they are set in my FAVORITE ERA and I love how tessa handles her business and her power , but the love triangle makes me cry...I'm torn between will and jem I want both of them to be happy and I know this is almost impossible. Yet I hope for the best...so TID by far
This is a hard choice but i would have to say.... Mortal Instruments because i like the characters so much better. they are both amazing series though and i am so glad i dont have to choose which i could read lol.
Okay, this is really tough! I mean really tough. I love both of the series! They were written great, great plots with unpredictable twists, and fantastic characters. I love TMI because of Jace, Clary, Magnus, Izzy, and Luke. I love the anticipation involved with Jace and Clary's relationship. However, I think I like TID just a smidge more because of the love triangle between WIll/Tessa/Jem. It's enough to my me cry every time I think about it.
Umm...this is really hard. I have to go with Mortal Instruments but only because I fell in love with them first. I love Jace. But I also love Will. Each of these books are beautifully written. I love it all.

The Mortal Instruments! Considering I have only read City of Bones, I am reading City of Ashes right now! I read a sample of Clockwork Angel, and it's just too...too...what's the word...too...too historic... that's it!
Plus there is more books in TMI! Right?

My case was a bit strange in my schools library I had seen the TMI books but never really had the feeling of wanting to read em. Time passes and at the time BORDERS still existed, I miss that bookstore. I was going through the Fiction Section books and one caught my eye and it was Clockwork Angel I turned it to the back to read the review but instead saw the first three TMI books on it and realized it was a prequel to the TMI series that's when I decided to read The City Books. Enough of storytelling. In the end I love both em but I gotta go with TID<3.

I read on Cassandra Clare's website that if the first is a success they'll make the rest of them.
I much prefer the Infernal Devices - The Mortal Instruments kind of drags on and Clary and Jace is kinda getting a bit boring. :/ I prefer Tessa to Clary :)
I have a hard time choosing. I think mi is more intense ecause clary actually does stuff unlike Tessa who isn't a shadow hunter and sort of stands in the backround doing.....nothing. But in mi if something can go wrong, it does. That's why I like ID because they occasionally accompany something. It's the little victories that count.
I look forward to them equally. They're a great ride!
Infernal Devices would be my favourite, they're so..interesting other than Mortal Instruments. Its more about the bad guys than love, well, there are love issues in ID but MI was just...Jace and Clary.Well have our own opinions:)
I love them both, but I have to say TID. I just like Will a bit more than Jace; I find his background more captivating. Sorry Jace! I also like Tessa more than Clary. I feel like she goes through more and doesn't make a big deal of things as Clary sometimes do. Also the love triangle in TID is more suspenseful than the one in TMI. In TMI, it's obvious that Clary's always going to end up with Jace, but in the TID, it's hard to tell who Tessa's going to end up with, although I'd die if she doesn't go with Will :)
It would be really hard for me to decide.. I may like TID better, maybe because the time period is interesting to read about, not too many books are set in different eras and it's nice to have a "new" time period to read about. I must say that I do like Jace more then will and I do like how In TMI I'm not conflicted between to people, not like I am with Will and Jem in TID..
Infernal Devices! ive allways loved the late 1800's, early 1900's and england! (its better than america, i think) and especally books in that era!
Mortal Instruments - I love Simon!! :) but still really reeeallly enjoy Infernal Devices and the characters!
The Infernal Devices, NOT because there is a love triangle but because the story is followable unlike the mortal instruments where i'm just like "what?"
Tough choice.I love both series and i love Jace and Will.
I think i like MI the most.
I love them both. I love the era of TID and the way they speak and I feel just as in the middle of Will and Jem as Tessa does. However, I almost feel the story just isnt as fast pace as TMI (though I do like the storyline). I loved all the characters of TMI right away and I love the action in the series. Plus there is a much longer series with TMI. So I guess if I HAD to choose... The Mortal Instruments.
also i the love triangle is soo sophisticated i really have no clue who she will end up with or even if she will be with either of them, and i love the mystery of finding out who tessa is...i see some angel-ish thing in her..?
infernal devices, i think the characters are MUCH more likeable. i understand why they do the things they do unlike mortal instruments, some times i just dont get why jace hates himself or clary is soo reckless yet Will has a reason for being the way he is.

I really love them both...but tid got me hooked and i am a die hard team Jem so i am going to say TID but I still LOVE TMI

The Infernal Devices are the best!!! Even though the Mortal Instruments are good, I personally prefer the Infernal Devices because I love Will!
I prefer the Infernal Devices, because it's got less books. The author gets to the point more. In the Mortal Instruments, there are more pointless books. Also, I LOVE WILL!!!!!!!...........Jace is cool too!

I really love the ID because of that. But it also makes it so much harder to read because I'm afraid for Jem. I am totally Team Jem. But if he gets Tessa then Will will get heartache and I love Will too. Its so captivating. (:
