I agree that it's not my favorite (I also liked P&P and Emma a lot better) but I just read it in November and enjoyed it. Bonnie | 271 comments I managed to polish off three of the books I'd been reading today! I read most of them over the weekend, but I stayed home sick today so I got extra reading time in. My goal is to break 200, but maybe I should set a higher one! Of course, now that all my 25-pointers are done, it's going to take longer to increase my total so much.

15 Points:
9. Best Adapted Screenplay Book: A Room With a View by E. M. Forester

25 Points:
2. Book You Started But Never Finished: The Outlaws of Sherwood by Robin McKinley (I don't know why, but although I generally end up really liking McKinley's books it's always hard for me to get into them. I read the first three chapters of this after I bought it in August, put it down and didn't pick it up again until the challenge).
3. 700+ pages: Breaking Dawn by Stephanie Meyer

Total Points = 150

Lindsey (mamamunky) Cynthia, since a book with less than 100 pages can only count as a 5 pt book, can you take 10 points off of my total for the "Read a Book with Any of the Following in the Title: Angel, Miracle, God, Jesus, Shepherd, Manger, Wise Man, Mary, or Joseph." task. The book I read was less than 100 pages. Thank you.

Bonnie, I'm the same way with Robin McKinley's books. The only one I got into right away was Beauty. I just got Rose Daughter so I'm going to be starting that soon.

Bonnie | 271 comments Beauty was one of the only Robin McKinley books I got into easily, too! I think you'll like Rose Daughter. I like both Beauty and Rose Daughter but which one I like better usually depends on which I read first. The first time I liked Rose Daughter better (I'd read that first, only a week or two before Beauty; it took me longer to get into, but after finishing both I came down on the side of Rose Daughter). I re-read them last summer and read Beauty first this time and liked it better.

Melissa (melissaconrad) I finally finished Oliver Twist, and I cannot use it for a SINGLE category, lol. It was like...604 pages long. Long, but not long enough!
