You guys are all wrong. The real champion is in the titles of his books. PERCY JACKSON and the Olympians. The champion is Percy. He never made stupid choices like other main characters in other books. All his choices had reasons. He's the champion no doubt.

erm, kinda surprised that everyone is saying Annabeth, has everybody forgotten anout PERCY?
Annabeth. When you think about it, most of Percy's adventures involved Annabeth. She was not only the brains behind the battle, but she was pretty kicka** herself. :D

Well, Percy is the champion in all of the books, but I still think he could not have done anything without Annabeth. Remember in the first book when they were trying to get away from Hephaestus's trap and she told Percy when to jump off the Ride of Love or whatever it is called. Percy would have got himself killed! And, Annabeth made Luke sacrifice himself at the end.
I have to say the animate champion is Percy, just as in Harry Potter it is Harry and in the Nancy Drew books it is her and so on. But overall, none of them would have had the chance to be "champions" without there friends. And with that being said, I think the ultimate champion has to be friendship. If I remember correctly, it was friendship that broke the possession of Luke and it was friendship that caused each of Percy, Tyson, Annabeth and Grover to help each other out. And therefore, the friendship among the characters is the winner.

Percy culd not even move!!!!!!"This is true, but she wouldn't be able to do that if it weren't for the rest of the characters who saved her in "The Titan's Curse", so they all are heroes, because of how they helped each other get through to end up beating Kronos in the end.
