If this book was all about Martha, I would be content. I find it fascinating how she and her family are considered a "safe" source...the Jews living in the attic, Diels, more characters to come I'm sure. I prefer Boris to Diels and hope that he ends up with Martha (despite his own personal life situation) but we'll see. I'm glad that the curtain of ignorance is starting to be pulled back on the Dodd family. I highlighted a quote that said something along the lines of "history remembers these characters for their huge actions but in reality they were truly ordinary." very interesting. We never know, I suppose, who will turn around and change the world (for better or, in this case, worse)
