Joy H. (joyofglensfalls) | 16697 comments If you like word games, there's a quick matching word game at:
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/_/ar...
See "Match Up", a little bit down on the right. It's easy to spot because of the colors.

Also, for more of the same, click on the calendar at the left of the above-linked web page.

The words they use make you think and yet they aren't too obscure.

I thought others might enjoy the website, not only for the word game but also
for the other items it contains. For example, the quote for today is:
===================================================
Fiddle, n.: An instrument to tickle human ears by friction of a horse's tail on the entrails of a cat. -Ambrose Bierce (1842-1914)
===================================================

Jim (jimmaclachlan) That's kind of fun. I got them all right, but that was only because I knew 4, so the 5th was easy. I never heard that 'bandog' meant watchdog. Never heard the word before.

Nina | 6069 comments It's interesting to me that one of my friends said she would have never heard of the city, Coeur d' Alene, ID which is where my daughter lives if she hadn't seen it many times in Crossword puzzles.

Joy H. (joyofglensfalls) | 16697 comments I had never heard the word "bandog" at all either. Yes, it is a fun exercise.

At FunTrivia.com you can do crossword puzzles online. Here's the link:
http://www.funtrivia.com/crossword/
They have all kinds of categories and the puzzles are rated "easier", "average", and "harder".
