@Grace, have you read any of Lori Wick's other books? She's very good at putting heart into her stories.
I especially enjoyed "The Princess".
Lori Wick is one of my all time favorite authors! She has amazing talent. And I love that she doesn't box herself into one specific genre! :D I've read all or nearly all of her books and loved everyone I read!
I agree with that one, Linnette!! She has some wonderful writing talent!! I wish I could emmulate her (at least partially).
Is "emmulate' the correct word here?
Is "emmulate' the correct word here?
Yes... emulate. I looked it up to be sure. ;-) And I totally agree with you! I hope to be able to write cross-genre. Successfully. :-)
That would sure be nice! Now my only problem would be actually writing a book - from beginning to end !
I don't wish to deviate from Lori Wick (not much, anyway), but how about Karen Kingsbury's writing? She's also very good. They are my 2 favorite CHRISTIAN authors!
I strongly recommend her. She and Lori Wick both have a wonderful grasp on life and God.
What have you read by Karen Kingsbury?

I own almost all of BOTH authors' books. Don't hate me, please! I "collect" and I don't let 'em go! LOL
Linda Nichols......I think I've heard of her. I'm afraid I'm not too "up-to-date" - didn't I say that? LOL I really like Margaret Daley, Stephanie Newton, and DiAnn Mills.

DiAnn Mills is my very first and beloved mentor! She's wonderful! Linda Nichols hasn't written a lot, but what she has written is astounding! I rarely give out five stars, but she gets them.I don't hate you. I collect books, too. :D Ruth Logan Hearne is another favorite. I probably have too many favorites to list... MaryLu Tyndale, Julie Lessman (dear friend!), Tamera Alexander, Deeanne Gist, Catherine Palmer, Karen Witemeyer, Melanie Dickenson... Guess I should stop now. LOL
I've only heard of these authors (naturally, for us everyday-readers). Tamara Alexander - I have 1 or 2 of her books.I've heard of Catherine Palmer, not sure how many.
One of my favorite books is what I call "multiple-story books" - anthology. LOL--that's where I've heard of most of these authors.

Sorry, I've not heard of Julie Lessman. Who is she? What genre does she write in?
Romance. Same time period as Grace Livingston Hill. Very good! A Passion Most Pure is her debut novel. She's written several since.
GLH> not my cup of tea, but maybe Julie Lessman would suit me more. The thing is..........I don't live near a CHRISTIAN bookstore. An ENGLISH one, I mean. LOL
:D She writes totally different than GLH. She write seat-of-the-pants, breath-taking romance. Passionate but not inappropriate. Get on Amazon! :D
WONDERFUL NEWS!! I'll look her up, then. Do you think she is on Facebook?
LOL. REALLY?! On Facebook, I have a few writer-friends. Heard of Loree Lough? She's a peach!
Oh, I'm sure things will go wonderfully with her! Loree is a super-sweet lady (she even sent me 2 of her books in the mail!)
Yes, indeed! And, since I don't have much cash, and because I live in Qc (FRENCH Canada), obtaining CHRISTIAN books in ENGLISH.....(GULP).
:D I can imagine! Hubby and I drove through a bit of French Canada on our honeymoon over 19 years ago. We were out in the boonies at night. Scary!

Hi! I just spotted this on Lori Wick. I LOVE every single book she has ever written. I started with Sophies Heart, then moved on to The Hawk and the Jewel Series and never stopped until I had read all her books. Love them! Wish she would come out with something new.
That'd sure be nice! I think I have read 98% of her books....wish I could get the last few - I had to borrow most of them. I haven't even read her newest one. The one with the farm title.
LOL. Good for you!! I've been wanting to get 2 books for a long time now! There is "Beyond the Picket Fence & Other Short Stories", and her newer one. I can't recall the title of this one, but it has to do with a farm of some kind. Or maybe it has the word "Blossom(s)" in it.

Thank you, Bonnie. This may help. If I had a credit card to buy books online with, I mean. LOL

I've read all of her books and I'm rereading them again this year. I've been trying collect all of her books and I need 3 or 4 more :) I guess you've probably heard she isn't writing any more?
No, actually. I hadn't heard that. What happened? Why isn't she writing anymore? She had some real talent! I hope to get 3 or 4 books of hers that I don't have, as well. Doesn't seem too likely, though. RATS!

No where? That's strange. Did you check B&N.com or booksamillion.com? That's where I usually see them when I go and find "Lori Wick" in the Christian (Religious) section.

I thought I'd seen it in a bookstore or 2. But maybe I'm wrong. Maybe it's "soon-to-be-released".

No. It's 2009. I haven't looked locally. Just on-line. It's not currently available at Amazon or B & N or CBD.
Oh no. Sorry to hear that. I hope you can find it soon.

That's just too bad. I don't know what to do/say now.
