Mmm. Let me know if you get it. Based on the criteria I'm not even going to try. Seems they can't send to anyone outside the US.

I've got that one in PB from the Kalahari sale.

Just Goodreads. what is NetGalley?

NetGalley is a website where "professional readers" - librarians, booksellers, bloggers, reviewers - can gain access to electronic review copies of books from a wide variety of publishers. The reason I asked is that this thread is about NetGalley - the latest books, what we got, etc.

There are several other Read Now YA titles from Egmont USA: http://www.netgalley.com/index2.php?m...

Think it is something I would like?

How does that work then? If it's "read-now" but not available for review? :(

I hate recommending books when anyone asks me if they'd like it. If the book turns out not to be to that person's taste, I always feel like I've wasted their time.
There's a 20 page preview over here, so do take a look.
With Lu it is easy, if it is something that is vaguely similar to Harry Potter she'll like it and you can recommend it if it is not don't recommend it :P
Lol
I have quite a bit of netgalley books now anyway, it needs to really call to me for me to request it :)

Nevermind I got this:
"Unfortunately, HarperCollins UK is currently only allowing UK and Ireland, and in some cases other European country based reviewers to download titles via NetGalley"

By the way ti does'nt even say HarperCollins UK. It just says HarperCollins - I actually went to see what their criteria was and couldn't find a HarperCollins that is stand alone. I checked there books and there was this and one other. Sigh :(

I got Bad Glass by Richard E. Gropp, which the marketing guys say should appeal to fans of Lost and House of Leaves.
I'm waiting patiently for Orbit and Night Shade Books to add some new arcs. They've had the same stuff for ages!
I am dying to hear if I get to read Burn for Burn and Love and Other Perishable Items.
Then there are 2 items that I requested MONTHS ago that the publishers havn't done anything about...

Publishers can be sloppy sometimes. I hate that some - like Orbit - don't categorise their books according to genre, so they don't come up on the genre lists, and sometimes not even on the list of recent stuff. So I have to search by publisher too, or I'll miss out on some really cool arcs.
Yea I have to search by publisher often otherwise I miss it.
Yea might aswell delete those. They won't affect my stats will they?

No, I don't think so. You can delete it in the requests section, and it won't be listed as declined or anything.
Sometimes I get two approvals for the same book, and then I'm not sure what to do. Should I delete one, or just fill out the same review details for both entries?

I think sometimes I accidentally re-send the request if I press the back button and then forward to that page again. Other times I think it might be the publisher's error, or some other glitch.

And this one, whose title made me laugh:

Random House also has these:
