Was it something to do with a character dying?
I think Harry Potter will be remembered. It seems to have made more of an impact on the general public. I work in a used bookstore and it is difficult to keep Harry Potter on the shelf because of its popularity. Twilight is a different story. The only time people seem to buy them is the month the latest movie is coming out.
I think it's ridiculous that you even have to ask the question Harry Potter or Twilight. I mean come on! Twilight is like snow. You like it when it first comes, then it gets worse, and never gets better. Harry Potter is like eating chocolate. You savor all of it, and when it's gone, your left saying to yourself, "WHAT?? THATS IT????"
Harry Potter actually has a good story that isn't depressing about characters overcoming challenges. Twilight was too boring for me to even start. Harry Potter had a great plot, great characters to relate to, and it is an amazing work of imagination. Twilight is terrible. It's "romance" at its zenith of shame. Bella doesn't really change as a character. Apparently the majority of the series is her being depressed that Edward left her. The other half is a buncha "boy-fights" over her. It's retarded high school drama. Harry Potter had many more meaningful events.
Potter will always be read, but Twilight will have to be remembered by history. Like early science fiction that defined the genre yet doesn't hold up over time, Twilight can't help but be remembered if for nothing else than the explosion of vampire-themed books that followed. Any historical review of books of the early twenty-first century will have to take note of the phenomenon.
Harry Potter is a classic and will go down in history as such.Though Twilight produced great fun and hype, it was more of a phase.
harry potter even though both franchises were succesful, the reason i think harry potter is because people grew up with harry potter. twilight was a movie then a lot of the popularity came with the movie and it isn't as big of a followeing as harry potter.

they will both be remebered, twilight because its a romance for whiney teenage whores (i dont like twilight, can ya tell?) and harry potter because he sparked our imagination and touched our hearts.
The reason Harry Potter will be remembered is because it included so many readers who typically wouldn't read the same books. It appealed to adults & children, men and women. It's magic is that it had such a broad appeal. People find wisdom in it along with entertainment.Twilight has a very specific audience and seems much more of a fad.
Oh, for God's SAKE. Will y'all please stop comparing the two? They are nothing alike! Of course, I think that Harry Potter is better. But why do you have to compare it to Twilight? It's getting annoying now, and I don't see the point. It only causes arguments and there is nothing to compare them.
I think the only reason they are compared is because of the success of the movies. In book form, there really isn't anything to compare them. They are completely different.
Harry Potter. Twilight is ok but Harry potter kicks twilight in the but!!! History will remember Harry potter or I will come back from the dead.

Harry potter and twilight will both go down in history but Harry will be for the magical feel and unforgettable characterss while in a hundred years when someone mentions twilight they'll say "you mean the one with the sparkling vegitarian vampires? Everyone has seen it just to see how terrible it was "
Neither. But if it had to be one of them... Harry Potter. It's a possibly more interesting story, depends on the person. There are more lovable characters in Harry Potter, hardly any in Twilight.

Harry Potter obviously. I like Twilight but i think Harry Potter sort of touche one's heart forever.
Harry Potter all the way!1. It's way awesomer
2. Harry Potter came out 9 years before Twilight
3. Twilight books aren't all that great but the movies are.
Harry Potter for sure!It was the book that pave the way for me to be into books. Now I can't stop reading. Twilight is not that memorable and will not stand the test of time.

I know that I was wondering why she thought that niether of them would go down in history.
This is obvious: harry potter. Not just because I like it better, just because 1. It has been around for much longer 2. That was also because there were a lot more books and films, so there is actually more to freak out about 3. The fandom of harry is very nerdy and nice, so a lot of awesome things have been done in harrys name. I cant think of anything twigight fans have done in bellas name, except for moaning about the human guys of course. 4. It introduced a new area of teen books, because it was enjoyed by adults as well as children. If you like twilight and
Do you have to question that? It's pretty much obvious. Twilight could be compare to those new songs nowadays - it was the "IN", but had no substance, and will soon be forgotten..
BUT Harry Potter is like the classics. Many will try to overtake or at the very least, BE as good as HP, but THEY.WILL.FAIL. Harry Potter will be forever in our hearts. ALWAYS ;))
Never read Twilight, but I know how much people like it, it'll probably be remembered by SOME people- even if it's only because some huge fan passes it down to their children, who pass it down to their children, who pass it down to their children, who pass it down to their children, etc. But Harry Potter will DEFINITELY FOR SURE CERTAINLY be remembered by history, and if it isn't, me mad. Me REALLY mad.

Both will. They both had a huge impact on readers, though Harry Potter probably appealed to more people
there are no better books than HARRY POTTER because it's full of interesting twists and turns. unfortunately i have only read books one and two...but i sort of gave up reading the other books. i don't know why. i will certainly read the others, after i've read The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton and Breaking Dawn by Stephanie Meyer.
Harry Potter was really great and has re reading value. Twilight? well let's say it would be remembered in a different way.
Even though I love them both equally, I'm probably going to have to say Harry Potter......because even though Twilight is really popular among the teen world, Harry Potter has the benefit of all age groups.
Is that even a question? Which fantasy has been remembered by history ever, except the lord of the rings (or lewis carrolls works.) ?If one will be remembered though, it will definitely be harry potter, since contemporary fiction like twilight just lives of it's hype.
