Rescuing issue

I'm trying to rescue the book with isbn 9788429434323. I own a physical copy, and my copy was printed in 1991. The original publishing date saved on goodreads is 1998, so it won't let me save my data. I tried to go to the book's page and change the original publication date there, but when I click on edit it automatically takes me to the rescue page. How do I deal with this?

Just put in a bad date, let the record be rescued, then go back and edit it.

Or go down to the bottom of the rescue bit and there is a link to the edit page.

Well, duh! Putting in a wrong date worked, thank you.

You don't have to put in a bad date; just leave the pub date blank. It's not a required field to rescue a book.
