Did you like the way the book ended? Why or why not?

I agree Kaitlyn.

Nya Tomlinson-Horan-Malik-Payne-Styles i loved it. very open ended which gave us room to imagine. what are the names of katniss' kids. what happened to gale, and haymitch? was there another war like plutarch thought? i thought it was perfect.

LiteraryMary95 I didn't like it. It was rushed and needed to be more spaced out. She ended up with the wrong guy since she kind of gave up on life and she didn't seem thrilled about having her 2 kids.

Beck Murphy I reckon that she was supposed to end up with Peeta all along, so I was happy that they finally got together. But the whole book was so detailed, and then it just sort of ended. Like as she was writing it, she thought 'I'll end this now' so it ended, it wasn't well described. The actual content, like how they have kids and she still scared they have to know about the Hunger Games was good too, but if only it were more detailed. And damn, why did Finnick have to die? Haha. And to find out that Annie had a baby was horrible for me, made me upset, haha.

Michele I think the ending was perfect for the book. Peeta was perfect for the story, based on what it is all about--,ending the cycle of hatred, punishment, anger. The story isn't really about how many kids she has...it was about the rebellion.

Inati I did not enjoy the ending! It was horrible and made me cry like with Gregor! :'(

Elaila The ending was very bittersweet. It felt very rushed and I felt like we missed beautiful moments like Peeta and Katniss' wedding and how they built their family. In a dystopian series like this, the author should have given us with a much sweeter and blissful ending rather than fast-forwarding to the very end. It was the least she could do after she killed off a couple of the other characters. I guess if I had to sum the ending in one word it would be: adequate.

Victoria Parker I didnt like it for me it left me hanging.I just wish she would make a side one for Gale and see what life is like for him....

Mary Jain i love'd nearly the hole book i thought it was truly amazing but near the endinding i feel like the ending was rushed!!! and hearing how inspiring katniss was for the people and the way they treated her near the end it was truly a shocker for me like she resked her life over and over for her loved ones and to end every thing with a bang but the endin leaft me like wow are you for real becose throw the hole book i found it amazing every page was soo good i laffed /cryd throw the book i got so intraped in mockingjay for the ending to leave me there

Matilda Rose I thought the whole still mentally damaged thing was to be expected. I mean, they were never miraculously going to convert back to who they were to start. But yeah, I kind of felt like the end was too rushed. Details throughout the whole series, a whole book for a few weeks, then that. I felt that the whole last book was a bit too rushed but got progressively worse towards the end. So yeah, I think the ending was alright and finished it up, but I also think it could've been done better, more neatly and with more closure another way. Buuuut, that's what Suzanne Collins wanted and it's her book, and she wanted the readers left with the horror that comes after so much destruction and damage to them mentally, not a happy-romantic scene fans couldn't help but want for them
