Types of Book Trailers

Teaser Trailer:
Usually consists of 15-45 seconds, which is just enough to tantalize. This trailer is ideal for authors, who are hard on funds or want to release a trailer before the the books release.

Basic Trailer:
A basic trailer consists of 30-60 seconds. This is a trailer that includes the bare essentials. The book cover, information on where to buy the book, the books synopsis, and 1-3 graphics.

Average Trailer:
Usually consists of 1-2 minutes. It will include the essentials and have graphics that are especially made to support the synopsis.

In Depth Trailer:
Usually 2-3 minutes. This is the perfect trailer for the author who plans to use the synopsis to reel in readers and intends to place the trailer on more than one website. This one makes a good trailer to use as an advertisement on Facebook or another site. You get all of the essentials, specially tailored graphics, and much more.

Ultimate/All out Trailer:
This is the trailer that allows you to have anything you want. You tell me the length you would like the trailer to be and anything else you would like in the trailer.

High Definition Trailer:
If you would like any of these trailers in High Definition, it is only an extra $10.

Brewin Brewin | 4 comments This is something that I'd be interested in trying out! It sounds like a great idea to me and I'd be interested in doing this for my novels. I've already had a trailer (and then a gameplay trailer) done for my digital gamebook release, see here:

I agree these can be a powerful promotional tool. You can send people text or post in on social sites, but a video link really gets people's attention :)

Let me know your thoughts on putting together some trailers for my novels The Dark Horde and Evermore; if it's something I can commission fairly cheaply, I'd be very interested! I have the plenty of "art assets" on hand that I am able to use (including the covers themselves, photographs and artwork from previous versions).

The works the trailers would be promoting are these:
