i'm trying to read The Savage Detectives but idk, it's basically a name-droppy south american lit. circlejerk... which is fine, but most of the name dropping and references are going over my head

starting my "read 20 books before i leave" project, i just read "room" by emma donoghue. it was excellent.
oh i'm also reading Gödel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braidthis is a book that is gonna take months and require a lot of breaks to digest all of it. but i'm enjoying it so far, and have been reading less dense books on the side
