Hello Marcus. As Delaware is one of my Territory's, you will have to pay levies first.
Animal parks welcome. No garages!
Hello! My name is Emily. I am 24 years old student who loves to read. I'm from South Carolina. I just joined Goodreads a few minutes ago. ^-^
Hello, I'm Jasprit and I love reading, especially fantasy. I'm from Mtl, Canada. A friend of mine in college got me started on dragonlance which I tore through during my commutes. I soon grew out of it when I read some much better books but the fantasy world had already taken hold of me. I'm currently reading Blood Song by Anthony Ryan. AWESOME!!!I should have joined this club sooner!
Welcome Jasprit. We read Blood Song as a group in September of 2013.
Never too late to join the discussion.
:)

So, I'm Joe. I noticed I have a bunch of friends in here and asked myself, "Why are you not in there?" So, Here I am.I'm from Brooklyn, NY originally and currently live in Kingston, WA. I spent 15 years in the Army and did 4 combat tours. I spent a lot of time reading during those year or longer tours. I was medically retired and am currently working towards becoming a History Teacher or becoming a published writer...
My mainstay for fantasy has always been Dragonlance. Weis and Hickman got me reading as a kid. I am also a huge fan of Piers Anthony, Marion Zimmer Bradley and the Ravenloft series. I tend to stay more towards Science Fiction, but Fantasy is what made me a reader and will always be there for me.
Hi all I am Paul From South Shields, England. I first got into Fantasy when I was about 10 years old my Grandad read the Hobbit to me over a period of around 3 or 4 months I was instantly hooked Tolkien will always be my first love however as I have got older my taste has changed somewhat I am a little tired of the S&S fantasy novels and prefer the darker side Martin, Rothfuss, Abercrombie etc I am currently reading The Long Price Quartet by Daniel Abraham I am about half way through the first book A Shadow in Summer and it is pretty good so far. Anyone got any suggestions for my next read.
Hello, my name is shanika from Brooklyn ny. I have just gotten into reading fantasy. Basically im looking for fantasy book recommendations. I also think the idea of a book club is awesome. Ofcourse everyone says the books are so better. Being that im such a beginner does anyone in the group have any ideas?? If so please feel free to let me know. Im so new to the genre but I love it!!!
Welcome Shanika. You'll find we all have our favorites and recommendations.
I like Robin Hobb's Assassin's Apprentice series.
Anything by Jennifer Roberson. Lately her Karavans series, and Sword Singer, her Tiger and Del series.
Hi Shanika, lots of recommendations here. Feel free to browse group shelves or some member shelves. You can check mine.

Rare that I hear the place name, and rarer still in a fantasy discussion. Nice to meet you!
Hi, everyone! My name’s Michael Meyerhofer. I’m a fantasy author, contemporary poet, semi-reluctant Midwest native, and a History Channel addict (“Ancient Aliens” notwithstanding). Some of my favorite fantasy authors include: Richard Knaak, George R.R. Martin, Margaret Weiss, Tracy Hickman, Katherine Kurtz, Terry Brooks, and Robert Jordan.
Hi every one! My name's Michelle. I'm a huge Fantasy fan. Fantasy books are the perfect escape with the best destinations. I recently became interest in Robert Jordan and Robin Hobb, the classics. But I'm a huge fan of Brandon Sanderson, Scott Lynch and Patrick Rothfuss. So delighted to have found this group and can't wait to have more bookish chats with y'all!
Happy Reading xoxo
Michelle

Sorry, my mistake! Done and done.
If you watch History 2 you need to be interested in aliens and Nazis....sometimes in the same program.
I don't know...one of the History channel shows is "Nazis VS. Aliens.... Maybe there is more than one group of aliens????
Hi there,I would like to introduce myself. I love reading novels so much that I recently authored one. Take the journey and read Kingdom Infinitum.
I am a scientist who love to pass knowledge to those who seek it.
My regards to all in this club.

I must reiterate...... that this thread is not for authors self promotion. Please read.... https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... and post in the proper self promotion folder.
That said....
Welcome.
As Brenda has politely asked for people to not use this thread for self promtion kindly listen or your posts will be deleted. Thankyou. This is due to non writers not wanting to read lots of stuff fron every would be author out there. We are not that sort of group. It is a group for readers first and foremost at their request.
Hello all, my name is Kieron and i'm relatively near to the genre only really starting early last year. I started my journey with the Wheel of Time books; which were absolutely fantastic and have continued reading others with a mad hunger. I'm now on the Mistborn books and so far has been a treat. I'm hoping to continue my journey with you guys alongside.
Don't miss The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. Then we all have our own favorites we'd like to recommend to you.
Hi everyone! I'm Lea and I come from Greece. Like pretty much everyone else here I love the fantasy genre. I got first hooked on the Tolkien saga and from then on I haven't looked back. As for favorite authors the list is pretty big so I'll name two that I'm currently reading: Sanderson and Lawrence!
