Dear Suzanne
Please please please supervise the movies all the way! The books are so freaking amazing... Thanks Suzanne! Thank you so so much!
Thanks Primniss. We'll be doing little things such as your thoughts to Suzanne on the characters that I'd love for you to comment on.
I would like to know if I could possibly get copyright permission to create a Hunger Games themed website? Thank you!
Suzanne, you should write a back story about Panem and an alternative ending, along with a more detailed ending. You're books are amazing.
Mrs.Collins, I was deeply motivated to influence other people's lives by writing. Thank you for impacting my life!
I think my English class put more thought into The Hunger Games than you did. Please tell me you didn't actually consider the symbolism behind Katniss having black hair. Please.
Anyway, anybody want to start talking about what you thought of Collins characters she ingeniously created?
Okay where did you get the idea for the best stylist to want to do 12 and why is he actully humanly formed (or whatever) like no extravagent makeup or colors or such?
BECAUSE MY CINNA IS AMAZING. THE END.
Okay, go on and discuss. :) I've presented my opinion.

I guess. Maybe nobody trusted him tobdo capitol people so they said he could have a district. And then ofcourse him being awesome and all that he wanted twelve.
Hey, I'm not saying I'm not. I am sadly a complainer (I'M GETTING BETTER!) But I'm not saying she complains constantly.
Besides I will openly admit that:
a) I am nothing like Katniss whatsoever
b) I found her a little hard to relate too
c) I didn't love her character.

^Agree and I think we should put something in the letter about religion!! and y there wasn't any!!
Well, a lot of the time books with light mentions of religion garner tons of negative feedback from churches for blasphemy. Plus, Katniss, living after what we can call the apocalypse, probably studied about religion in history class. Never practiced it.
Religon is a touchy subject so I think it was a good idea for Suzanne to avoid it. I dont think the absence of religon affected the greatness of the story. i really liked the way characters changes throughout the series due to different events that happen to them. I do think that Katniss became a bitter whiney butt, but thats one way a person would deal with the situations she had to deal with. it was not her fault she became that way, but I think theres were enough different ways to write about how Katniss changes and i think Suzanne chose one of the not so great ways and made many people hate Katniss because that was the kind of person she became.

I see your point. Yes, they do get a lot of negativity. But all books do. I just think Religion is a sore spot.

It shows how when you become famous you have haters and lovers and I think being well-known can kind of mess up your life.

I wouldn't put any strong opinions about religion in my book. Unless it needed some kind of faith to fall back on. But I wouldn't want to deal w/ all the crap.
no religion=very broad audience

Yeah, my sister wants to be famous and I want to know why. Being popula or famous makes many people want to know every detail of your life. Also if you are popular enough there are going to be two types of people who follow you on twitter. The lovers who worship the ground you once walked on and the haters who take anything they can and twist it into something ugly and gross. I feel really bad for celebrities. I really only care about the things they do in their career, not their home life. I don't understand people who buy tissues used by famous people. It's just crazy. I'm fine with talking about what the person has done in their career, in this case the books she has written. I think it is fine to discuss their life's work, but their lives is a bit much. (sorry for te off topicness)
Because there are so many religions in the world, a book with a religious basis would just offend a bunch of people. I, myself, am pretty tolerant, but there are a bunch of people that feel so strongly about their religion that they ripped up The Da Vinci Code at my school. It was a good idea for Mrs. Collins to avoid religion.

Yes. I wouldn't either.

You're fine. Being famous is hard. People use your past and everything you are against you. Besides it screws up your life. You can't go anywhere without being recognized and you have the media and poparazzi.

Yes better than putting it in.
Yes better than putting it in.
If i ever became famous i would try to ne boring so nobody comes after me... thet sounded better in my head. I think we should just mail the link to this site to her and she could possibly answer our questions right online...
Maybe. I say we do both. E-mail, send a letter, and send the link. The more we send the better the chance. I sent an essay I wrote about Foreign Oil Processing and whatever to the President and I e-mailed and sent a letter just to make sure I had the best chances of replying.
If someone was declared victor, would he be allowed to volunteer and go into the Games again if he so desired?
Oh yes, but I want to hear it from Collins herself too. I also want to know what gave her inspiration for the Hunger Games, Panem, Snow, Katniss, etc.
Actually, she said she was channel-surfing and her mind kind of got stuck between war coverage and a reality TV show. Ta-da, the Hunger Games are born.

Dear Suzanne Collins,
