Lol. Soooo cute.Actually at GRL plot bunnies became flat puppies because of someone's *coughs* misinterpreting what someone else said. It kind of,stuck.

Okay, I officially lose the challenge. Mine finished up at 2,647 and I've already found a few spots that could use a bit of expansion. No way in hell can I crop this story down to 1,000 words. =PAnyone interested in being a beta for the story? =P

(2nd attempt is finally looking like it might be 1000 words thankfully! No idea what I shall do with the first (well finish it is probably a good start) ... might have to try doctoring one of the monthly photostory challenges to get it in!)

OK, this is a lesson never to take on anything with a word limit. Ever again. I have now spent four times longer editing than I did writing, and it's still too long. Ah well, better to learn that lesson here than in a real anthology call.Time to do something more productive - last look at my Valentine's story before formatting.
I discovered a hidden talent for writing short on the romance end, when I had to write something under 150 words for a challenge. (I won.) Then again, with my longer stuff my first drafts tend to be too short and I have to go back and flesh them out during revisions. I might do my Valentine's story over the weekend; real life kind of clobbered me earlier this week and I haven't been able to focus on my novel or the one I'm supposed to be revising. Maybe doing the challenge story will help bring back my writing mojo.
Okay, I'm gonna have a little go at this one ;) haha I haven't been on NEARLY enough and I need to actually contribute positively... and not turn everyone into raging alcoholics XD hahahahaha

My challenge story is currently at 830 words....... nearly finished but it's going to require some quite heavy red pencil work to keep it down to 1000.That said, I appear to have caught Kaje and Jo disease.... Yesterday I started a different short story for a friend's daughter's birthday and now I really really need to go look up and learn the definition of the word short.........

My short stories always end up short...sometimes shorter than I intend them to. My problem is that I have too many dang stories in my head! LOL
