Removing most popular book image cover

I would like to combine this book with the most recent edition, Remember Wake but whenever I do, the oldest cover (also the most popular) appears on the page. I'd like the newest cover and most recent edition to appear. I cannot delete the book either, since it is the most popular. How do I resolve this? thanks!

When books are combined, the most popular edition is the one that is shown on the page. There's no way to choose another edition.
