"Okay fine. I promise I'll tell you later this week." Echo said, looking at her.

She lifted her head, stepping closer. "You swear?"

"Yup, swear on my Mother Grave." Echo said. Not that she had a proper one.

Her eyes widened. "Your mother is dead?"

"Yeah." Echo said, wincing slightly.

"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry." She laid a hand on his arm.

((Off to work, back in about 4hours))

Echo shrugged, trying to keep his composure. "I'm fine.."

"I'm a werecat too, Echo. I can smell your emotions and tell you're not fine. Please tell me what happened?"

Echo looked at his feet before starting. "We were starving and a guy said that If I worked for him, he'd pay us money. Lot's of it. He was lying, I folllowed him to his car and he drove off and brought me to a lab." he said.

Casy stepped forward, wrapping her arms around him. "What happened?"

Echo put his chin on her head gently. "I tried to escape, so he got my Mum and shot her in front of me." he said.

"Oh my goodness, that must have been so awful."

Echo shrugged, feeling cold. "I'm alright."

"That's because we kitties are tough." She kissed his cheek.

"Hey, you should come to my brother's wedding tomorrow."

"Okay.. I'll dress up." Echo said with smile.

"I'd sit with you but I'm a bridesmaid."

Echo smiled. "Really, cool! Who's your bro?"

"Jonathan Brennis. Have you heard of him?"

"Nope, is he a nice guy?" Echo asked, putting his hands in his pockets.

She blinked. "Have you forgotten my warning about him? Oh shucks I forgot my warning and invited you to his wedding, I've sentenced you to death by big brother." She sank onto his bed.

Echo blinked. "Oh yeah. Apparently he's going to tear me to shreds. No biggie."

"How could I be so stupid!"

"It will be fine." Echo said confidently. "What could happen?"

She looked up at him, wide-eyed. "You have no idea."

She threw herself at him. "Jonny's gonna kill you and it'll be all my fault."

Echo rolled his eyes, catching her. "Relax, it won't happen!"

"You don't know him like I do."

Echo sighed. "I wil be fine. If he hurts me, then.. Oh well."

"If he does.... oh my gosh." She began to pace.

Echo grinned. "Casy, look. He won't kill me."

[Eternal Werecat, Aunty Jess]

"How do I know for sure? He can't hurt you, I care about you too much." She suddenly covered her mouth with her hand, surprised by her boldness.

Echo smiled. "That's why he won't hurt me."

She bowed her head, blushing.

Echo continued. "If he hurts me, then he's hurting you. And he wouldn't wan tto hurt you.... Would he?"

"No, but he may hurt you before he realizes how much you mean to me. He still thinks of me as being five years old and a fluffy furrball kitten. Kayce is the same way, though she'll be happy knowing you aren't a vampire."

Echo frowned. "Okay... Well, lll be alright. When is the wedding?" he asked.

"Uh, tomorrow? I told you that like ten minutes ago."

Echo blinked. "Oh, sorry. Brain freeze." he said thoughtfully. "Will you get me around the time?" he asked.

Her eyes lit up but then she frowned. "Oh darn, I can't. I have to help Becky get ready."

Echo nodded. "I assume Becky is who is getting married to Johnny?" he asked.

"Yeah, she's a pyrofae who's really nice. She treats ne like a grown up."

Echo nodded thoughtfully, then stifled a yawn. "Htat's good." he said.

"Oh dear, you're sleepy, should I leave?"

Echo shrugged. "I don't care.." he said, then yawned again.

"I can catch up with you later if you wanna take yourself a catnap."

A smirk traced Echo's lips as he sat on his bed. "Okay then..."
