Please don't separate sincere editions

I am the author of said book, and I requested they be separated. The Perils of Forgotten Pain exists in two forms: An old, out of print book from Shadowfire Press, and a new book from Extasy Books. However, the Extasy books release is NOT the same book-it has been edited, scenes have been added, and it spans only the first half of the story from the ShadowFire Press version. It is, as the cover says, Perils of Forgotten Pain: Part 1. These are not two editions of the same book.
If I'm horribly wrong and for some reason having a book that is split into two versions (part 2 will be released as yet another book) makes it another edition of the full book, then forgive me. But I did request they be separate, and if possible I would like them separated again and kept separate. They are not the same book.
Edit: I see they've been separated again. Thank you!

Because the book is being split into two volumes, you are correct that they should be separate.I separated the editions and added a librarian note so they won't be recombined.
Is part 2 also going to be named The Perils of Forgotten Pain? If so, perhaps "part 1" should be added to the new editions title so it won't be mistaken for part 2 when it gets released.

Went ahead and did that.
And plus, she may be a Goodreads employee but she really should read the Librarian Manual. The rules regarding sincere editions — simple ones like 1st and 2nd release — are obvious.
