Hello from chilly Chicago!

Hey all, I'm Sheila. I joined a little while ago, but I've been poking around a bit, trying to get the lay of the land. (Which took a lot of willpower, because there are about 50 interesting conversations going on!)

I'm a CPA in the Chicago area. I'm also a giant nerd, a voracious reader, and I do a little writing on the side. We'll see if a) I can come up with the discipline to finish a novel manuscript and b) if the world needs a book about lesbian crimefighting accountants. If not, I'm still having the time of my life writing it. :)

I probably read more romance (queer and straight) than anything else, but also a lot of YA and fantasy - I just finished The Serpent Sea and am working my way through Wilde Stories 2011: The Year's Best Gay Speculative Fiction.

And I don't know if I mentioned, but it's kinda freezing here today. It's the perfect day for curling up with a cat and a Regency romance. Sadly, I'm at work and have neither.
