Babbling AKA Christina wrote: "Steph, I don't know if everyone realizes that you're not posting the shelves in the team threads this round. :("Yes, sorry. But, with 15 teams I'm not sure I'll always have time to c/p on all. I know how anxious everyone gets each Sunday. So, instead, I'll be posting HERE (on this thread) saying "shelf is up" with a link to the shelf announcement page with the shelf name & direct link. Y'all are usually pacing around here anyhoo, so I hope that is cool with everyone.
Oh good. I was wondering how long it would take to pop into every team's thread each week for shelf announcements! Off to browse :)
Carlyn, Jeann is one of my friends, just had a look, she's from Brisbane. You may not know but the SE of Qld & most of Nthn NSW is under flood, not to say that it is affecting her, but it may be. I do know that a few thousand people have been evacuated, but not I think in QLD.

Thanks I hope everything is okay with her and I hope we hear from her soon :)

I'll try to find her :)
We have another missing person in group #7, has anyone heard anything from Taly? She hasn't checked in with us yet
I'm here! Thanks for checking on me Sandy and the pm Carolyn, been looking forward to playing for ages :)

Oh, no problem. It made sense to me that you wouldn't be posting in 15 threads this time. ;-) I was peeking in on the others and it seemed to me that not everyone realized you made a change this round. I figured, those who didn't visit this thread much, or often, (now that the game has officially started) wouldn't realize you posted it here either.
Anyone know what this is about in the stamp me thread:Team Captains, please include a direct link* to your team's weekly read list. ??????
How and where? In the team thread?
Team Captains, please include a direct link* to your team's weekly read list. ?????? I'm guessing Valerie, that providing the direct link to the team's list will save Steph time when verifying that all members have competed their reviews. That way she doesn't have to hunt in the posts for them. But we'll let her chime in on the final answer.
Yep. Just copy the URL by right-clicking on the time stamp of the post for the list of the finished shelf's books and paste that with your stamp request.Steph said: This will allow me to quickly check to make sure all members have indeed read, rated, and reviewed their book.
So, your weekly list should include team members' books, and the post number of their review (which has their completion date & rating). Some captains add the rating & date completed to the weekly post, too (I always did...kind of like having it all neat and tidy in one place).

To the great powers that be, please help us change our team name from Five Diving Divas to Five Divining Divas.
Midu wrote: "BSB elves, when will we get the next shelf?"Shelves are announced Sunday (Japan time), which roughly translate to "Sometime Saturday" for the US. :D
Midu wrote: "and sunday for Pakistan?"I think so. I was just trying to figure out the time difference. You are a few hours behind Japan, yes?
And it's roughly 9:30 pm in Japan, according to my world clock at the office. So, if she were to post it, say, 9:30AM, it would be 5:30AM for you. I think. :D
You have as long as the game lasts to get a stamp, you just don't want to let the books pile up week after week :)
Shelf Announcement Day, YAY!! I'll wait to go to the library until after the shelf is called.Anyone else bumming around the house today waiting for a shelf announcement?
Blueyes -- Leah -- wrote: "Anyone else bumming around the house today waiting for a shelf announcement?"Yep. :) Yesterday I was worried that I'd have to go to the library early, check out a few books, and hope for the best because of snow, but it turned out to be nothing to worry about (seriously, there was a dusting and it's all gone now). Now, we waaaaait...

It's cold here and I have a cold- the only thing cheering me up is waiting for the shelf announcement.
Looking forward to the shelf announcement!I'm in a good position because I just finished a book and I'm almost done with my audio so I should be able to start right away. :)
I am looking forward to the shelf announcement. I am excited to see what it will be. Is it sad that I am waiting by the computer at work waiting for the announcement? That way I can pick out the book by the time I get home. Or drop by B&N and get a book. (Don't get off until 6p today.) It is snowing fairly nasty here. Really late for here (Colorado). But then again it has been mostly going around the two cities I live and work in (Pueblo and Colorado). Denver got hit hard last week and in December or January south of Pueblo got hit extremely hard. I just wish I had these two days off so I could stay under the covers and read all day :)
The winter has been great in NYC so far this year. Most of the time, the temperature has been over 40.
I am stalking the threads waiting for a shelf to be called. This is like waiting for the next episode in a really good show. Going out for Indian food and then home to see if we have a shelf.
The wait is driving me wild.
Our next shelf announcement is up ~ 'ghosts'Happy Reading, Everyone!
Hope everyone has a great weekend! :D
