yay gooo brigid!! lol XD
cali, our rabbi at my school made us do that; she told us to write letters to ourselves, and then she took it, and in about a year she sent it back to us through the mail. i wrote stuff like "this is stupid" and "i don't know what to write" so yeah...lol XD

lol hilarious.
Yeah it's cool like you find it in a few years, and yeah!

oh i did that last year. i wrote a letter to myself that i'm going to read after i graduate from high school. i don't remember what i wrote in it, but i guess that's a good thing cuz it'll be surprising. lol.
hey so back to "why do you write?" i found this really great quote by Anne Sullivan that explains it all.
"Too often, I think, children are required to write before they have anything to say. Teach them to think and read and talk with self-repression, and they will write because they cannot help it."

i suppose. although if i recall correctly, i was kinda in a bad mood when i wrote it. so it's like, "You may think you're so cool just cuz you survived high school and you're going to college and all, but you're STILL A LOSER!!! BWA HAHA!!"
O.o yeaaah ...

... I never have any sort of personal relationship with my teachers, and never had. I mean, it's simply, 'student/teacher.' They teach me, I learn. I don't know their personal lives, and they don't know mine.

Oh. Well that really sucks. I think that my lit teacher this year isn't quite so cold.
But I understand how you feel. Before 8th grade, I was afraid to actually use style in my writing because I was afraid that my teachers would think I was rude with my usage of sarcasm. But then at the beginning of 8th grade, we had an assignment to write about what animal we would be if we were an animal. Or something like that. I think it was a get-to-know-you sort of thing. Anyhow, I really let myself show for the first time in that assignment, and after that I realized that I did not need to modify MY writing to other's liking. Since then I haven't given a care if I sound rude when I'm being sarcastic, because if somebody takes it as rude or personally insulting, that's THEIR problem, not mine. After all, the writer just writes, and the reader interprets.

I don't really have much personal relationships with my teachers, except for one...my math teacher is super duper nice, and shes always on our side, and shes really fun to talk to and stuff...and we always tell her about our lives and she tells us about hers, so math is like a chatter class. lol XD. and i babysit for her, and her two kids are sooo cute. XD

Writing is a way to see further and deeper into life. Like a microscope or a telescope through which you can look at life. And although I know that writing is ultimately an illusion, it is an illusion that can become real because when it's good, it is more real than reality itself.

I write cause it's fun and I have so many stories in my head that it's the only way get them out!
because I have nothing else better to do . . .
me too . . . usually i don't have anything to do.
It takes away stress and when I have a creative idea, i know i can store it on paper or computer... to practice for my future career when im older
Kill reality and I love writing and that's all I care about.
