She hugged him back, smiling wider than she ever had. "How long before you told me?" Ashton asked.

Ashton laughed. "I didn't even realize how I really felt about you. But it's like... I was always just looking for that perfect person to complete me, and I never even realized that they were right in front of me."
"It's perfect," she said, grinning at him. "Wait... is this what they were talking about? In the living room? Everyone knew except for me?" Ashton furrowed her brow.((brb))
"Oh." Ashton looked down at her hands. "Well... I don't want to think about us breaking up," she said. "Not yet."
"If everyone always told themselves 'what if' then nothing would ever get done. Like Neil Armstrong! What if he was all like, 'Oh, what if die when I go into space, and then, I'll never see my family again,' and then Buzz Lightyear would have been the first man on the moon instead!" She crossed her arms angrily. "Wait... Buzz Lightyear doesn't sound right..."
"Me too!" Ashton's eyes brightened. She grabbed an apple from the picnic supplies and bit into it. "I love Toy Story."
Her eyes widened. "Duh! Who didn't cry during the last one? Just the thought of Andy and Woody parting gets me all choked up," she said, putting her hand on her chest dramatically.
Cady walked back in, dropping her jacket on the floor. Noticing Ace was awake, she went over. "You feelin' okay?" she asked
Ace shook his head. "No, dammit! My parents are dead, some officer shows up at the freaking door, and I'm supposed to be okay?" he said, his face buried in his arms.

She grabbed his hand and stood up. "Let's go," she said, and they walked back into the house to find Ace, still holding hands.
Ace looked up, a stony look on his face. "No," he said coldly. "I am NOT okay, why is everyone asking me that! I'm leaving." he said, getting up slowly and waking out the door, slamming it behind him. He started walking down the street slowly, trapped in his turbulent thoughts.
Ace stopped, not turning around. "What?" he said softly, jamming his hands in his pockets.
"They are stupid! They didn't know what they were saying. They didn't mean that. Of course you aren't fine."
Ace looked at the ground. "I know you just want me to feel better.." he said with a sigh.
He nodded."I do. You're my best friend."
Ace looked up. "Seriously?" he asked, sort of shocked.
"Of course you are! Didn't you know that?"
Ace cracked a small smile. "Sort of," he said. "Will I seem like a wimp of I tell you I might hug you?"

Ace pulled away. "Sorry, I just feel... Weird." he said.
Cady went back up to her room with a sigh, she was no good with comforting people. Turning the volume on the radio back up again, she sat on her bed and quietly sang along as she idly flipped through a book
"I don't even know what's going on anymore," Ashton said, pulling her knees up to her chest. "If there's something wrong, I want to know! I love Ace." She eyed Will. "Like a brother, I mean. And... I don't know, they're all just acting so distant. It just makes me so mad. What did we do? What did I do? I don't understand!"
Cady set the book down with a frustrated sigh, she couldn't concentrate. She turned the volume on the radio even louder, half hoping it would drown everything in her head out so she could stop feeling so bad for making it worse for Ace
Ace nodded at Marcus, then walked to the music store.

Ace nodded o the guy behind the counter and went to the demo drum set by the window. He sat down and started to play Bad by Michael jackson, since the store was playing it.

Ace finished and left, continuing to walk down the street aimlessly.

Cady looked up, barely hearing Ashton over the music. She turned down the volume and sighed. "Nothing much, pretty much pissed Ace off again. Maybe Marcus too, not too sure though. Same old, same old."

((To Tinker Bell: Your character could have been on a trip or something :P))Ashton woke up, slightly surprised. Usually she woke up later than the rest of the house. But she just shrugged and sat up. She wasn't hungry, and decided to play her bass instead of going downstairs.

Ace sat still in his corner, he realize that if they got upfromt he tabel they'd see him.

Ace left to head to Starbucks, he ordered a coffee.
"Let's get IHOP!" Ashton said, jumping up and down excitedly. "I looooove IHOP. They put smiley faces on your pancakes!" She grinned at Will.
