i guess the ending was to say that the Hunger Games will still live on and probably happen all over again. I thought the ending was okay, but i would've also liked to learn the kid's names' as well. even though i already named the little girl "Ember Mellark," kind of reminiscent on "the girl on fire" which they called Katniss at the beginning/middle of the frist book. the son on the other hand ... I cant imagine his name. :P Maybe something close to Peeta?
To be honest, I thought the end was kind of cheesy.I mean, it was great for establishing where they all stood and the outcome of things, but it wasn't really a great ending to the series.
It felt rushed.
I agree with Nya. The ending was satisfying enough for me. Had it been too detailed, I think it wouldn't have fit with the rest of the writing style of the book. I think that without the epilogue at the end, I wouldn't have been happy. It gave closure to the books without going on and on.

I would have named the girl Primrose after Katniss' sister and the boy Gale, even though she should have but didn't marry Gale
