"I Wish They'd Make a Movie of That!"

Has anyone else ever read a book and thought: "This would make an awesome movie!" I find it happens a lot when I'm reading magical realism. There have been several novels that I'd love to see on the big screen- and don't say it can't happen, because I longed for a live action Lord of the Rings trilogy for years before it occurred. :) One book that I think would make an awesome movie is Someplace to be Flying by Charles de Lint. It's a good story, mixing reality with fantasy, and adventure with mystery and romance. The characters are fantastic, and would be wonderful to see brought to life. (Though, of course, movies never make them quite as you imagine them.) I would love to see Jack Daw, Cody and the Crow Girls in a film. It would be fantastic! (Of course, I'd like to see another de Lint book made into a movie so that I can see Jilly and Joe Crazy Dog, too.) I don't want to give too much away in case someone wants to read it, but if anyone else has read it or has read one of the reviews, you might know what I mean. (Of course, you could also disagree completely.)
