Unable to drift away
to the world of fantasies
It seems that reality is suddenly
better than dreams
You, you keep me awake
Thoughts of you and I make me
insomniatic
The sound of my heart beating faster
breaking the silence of this night
with every thought of you...

Individuality


The school thinks she's weird
Her friends disagree
Fair weather friends call her strange
She calls it individuality
She walks the halls with a smile on her face
Shutting out that stupid high-school drama
Ignoring those snide remarks about her clothes and hair
She calls it individuality
When she sees the world a different way
Than what's expected of her
And discovers something new
She calls it individuality
When she says hi to the new kid
When she writes her troubles away
When she's confronted about her beliefs
She calls it individuality
When she tries something new
Accidentally says the wrong thing at the wrong time
Her crazy laugh
Her loyalty
Her quirky handwriting
Her perpetually optimistic demeanor
She is me.
They all call me weird
I call it individuality
