Volume the First: Chapters 11-23

Time to discuss the second half of the first Volume.

I still haven't seen much action. More gossip, now centered around Mr. Wickham and then several chapters about Mr. Collins that, thus far, seemed unnecessary. I am starting to get rather annoyed. If this were a modern book, this would be published as a series and these chapters would be filler in order to pad out enough for three books.

Anyone else picturing Mr. Darcy as Colin Firth? Also - that proposal, SERIOUSLY?!

Lol! No I haven't pictured him as Colin Firth but it suits him! My book doesn't have volumes. I'm reading the ebook. I plan to read up to at least chapter 15 today. Also, what page are you on? I don't have any idea how big the chapters are in the physical book.

Just finished chapter 14. We've just met Mr. Collins. They don't describe what he looks like but I imagine him to look like Louis XVI in the movie Marie Antoinette, starred by Kirsten Dunst.

During some of the previous chapters while Jane and Elizabeth were at Netherfield, Mr. Bingley seems to be kinder that I would've imagined him to be. And also, I guess it's clear that Miss Bingley wants the admiration of Mr. Darcy.

I wish this book was more descriptive. Even a pinch more would really help right about now.

I should also mention that my goal is to read at least 5 chapters a day. So that means tomorrow I should be at at least chapter 20.
