Which main character do you think is going to die?
Oh no, I don’t want any of the characters to be killed off. I don’t think it will be Jem though; that would probably be too obvious. Maybe Cassandra Clare is trying to trick people into thinking that Jem will die, but actually it’ll be Will. (Because Tessa appears in TMI series) :( Either way, I reckon I’ll cry – a lot.
I have a feeling it won't be Jem. I have no idea who will die, though
Probably Jessie, maybe even Will but that isn't likely to happen.

I dont think that Will is going to die. I think that Jem will die. (And thats not because I'm Team Will) I think that Jem will die protecting either Tessa or Will... but then again, I think that Will and Tessa would never get together if Jem was dead and still dating... erm... courting Tessa... so I really dont have any idea!

Will cant die! there has to be a new herondale generation. bc hello jace herondale! and tessa is immortal. that was clear in COG and COFA. I think maybe jessie will die. bc there r no shadowhunters with her last name in TMI. I hope Jem doesnt die. oh pls no...

I think Jem will die, but I don't want him to.

I think it's gonna be Jem. Yes, thats the obvious one, but hey if Will dies how is Jace alive? (Unless Cecily keeps her last name) And Tessa cant die coz shes in COG (unless shes a ghost, which i think is highly unlikely) and Jem already has a diesase. Plus those three are what i think of the main characters sooooooo....Jem. *SOB*

Wow. Half this stuff I've never considered. Notice that Alec has the traits of Will Herondale (and his sister!) but he is a lightwood. Sooo maybe Cecily gets with Gabriel. (Weird thought!). And there are no Carstairs in TMI and there are no Greys or Lovelaces; so either way Jessie does not pass on the name. Maybe she marries again? Or maybe she is the character that dies. I think Jem will think that he is dying (really dying) and so break it off with Tessa to save her the heartbreak, or he realizes that Will and Tessa love each other and so he ends the engagement (hopefully with his blessing). And Will must have a child because the name goes on to Stephen and then Jace. Ha! That’s ironic if it’s true. Because to start with Will hates the Lightwoods and then his sister marries one then all their descendants are related, meaning that Alec and Isabelle are actually related to Jace (by blood not just feelings!).

The most obvious canadiate is Jem because of his illness but Camielle does say to Magnus in COFA something about not being able to forgive himself for not saving him implying Will because Alec reminds Magnus of Will with his dark hair and eyes My guess is it will be Will since there is still Cecily to carry on the Herondale name but my guess is shes going to be with one of the Lightwood boys either way If one of these boys die there will be tears I just hope that it is Jem ....sorry to the Jem lovers out there he is a good character but I am a Herondale boy fan through and through:)

Cassandra has said that there are other Herondale families out there, so it is not necessarily Will that is related to Jace... Going back to the question, I think it will be Jem. He seems to be the likely choice with what he is going through, and I think he would be happy if his best friend and the girl he loves got together afterwards... The two people he loved the most together and happy. Seems like a good story to me...
If CC said so, then it will probably (or most likely) be Jem.I only care about Will and Tessa be together and alive. I care less of who is going to die.

Sadly i think it will be Will... :( i have a bad feeling about it. I mean, with Jem it would be really too obvious. Almost everyone expects him to die because of his illness.
Oh my. If it's Will, then I will die with the series. And I will hate CC and will not read her next novels.Hmmm...mad enough.
Btw....aren't the fantasy series stories always too obvious and predictable? The storyline can be as complicated and miserable as possible (usually because of triangle love), but the ending is usually a happy one.
I'll definitely keep my fingers crossed for an happy ending. For all of them :)
The very main chaeactor cant die. thats like saying Jace will die in TMI. Will started with the story in TID. If he dies the story will die with him.
I think it will be Mortman. ;) Or Tessa will leave Jem and he'll die faster as he says her love has made him better recently.
I really don't know. Jem is the obvious choice, but is he too obvious? I have a feeling that it could be Will (which would break my heart), but it does leave the question about the Herondale name. Maybe it's Tessa, and she really is a ghost that communicates with Magnus. But having said that, I just can't see CC killing off Will or Tessa.
Maybe Henry or Charlotte, or one of the Lightwood brothers. Perhaps it will be Sophie dying in childbirth leaving a little Lightwood behind...
If CC said one of the main characters, Sophie is not one. And although Mortmain plays an important role, he is not one either. Aren't the main Will, Tessa & Jem? Who should we include into the group?

I think sophie is, it is Will, Jem, Tessa, Charlotte, Magnus and Sophie, this is because all these characters have developed throughout the book, we've learnt of their love lives, feelings and thier behaviour, so I would argue they are main charcaters because we'd feel something if they were killed off
yes we have read tessas, wills, jems, sophies and charlotte POV through out the story so they are considered main charactors.
Someone of importance is going to die. Whether it be Mortmain, Will, Jem, Henry, or Charlotte (or more than one). Cassandra herself said (in regards to both series), that she isnt going to write a 'happy ending' just because it is desired. But rather, that she will write an ending befitting to the story. Whether or not that entails misery, we will never know :\ My take:
Either Will will die from protecting his Sister/Tessa/Jem
or
Jem will succumb to his disease and die in that way. (which I dont find predictable at all. Its ironic that you predict Cassie will "obviously" pull a twist and kill someone else, but sometimes things dont need to be a surprise. Jem is deathly ill... it makes the most sense at this point - atleast for me. If Charlotte or Henry die instead, that would be a shock, but it would feel almost as if it shouldnt have happened, and their deaths were just written for pure shock value. I just wouldnt take it seriously
but then again these are just opinions. & I'm sure Cassie will write every scene - whether it be a death scene or an action scene - beautifully.

Has anyone realized that Will doesn't have that herondale mark? (i mean the one jace has,and his grandmother saw in COA and knew for sure that jace was a herondale)maybe Wll comes in contact with an angel in the next book and gets the star shaped mark and passes it on to the next generations...
and when someone meets an angel don't they get a wish come true? like when clary asked for jace to live in COG? Will might ask for jem's disease to go away or for tessa?
i kno it seems not so likely but its an option (:

I don’t know who will die in the next book. But I’m almost certain that it won’t be Magnus or Camille… He he. :)
Magnus is awesome! Cassandra Clare should write a series based around him as the main character.
Will doesnt have the mark the next generation will. so that means in CP3 he will come in contact with an angel!

Personally I think it will be Jem because he has the whole disease thing and the only way Tessa can be with Will without me wanting to kill Tessa is if Jem isn't there because as much as I love Will, Jem still doesn't deserve to have his heart broken.
