The actor is Alex Pettyfer... i read the book first and loved it and was happy that it came out as a film. I loved the film but it missed a whole lot of stuff out but still it was good. definitely read the book first! I really want a sequel but apparently there isnt going to be one. :(
I liked the movie more than the book. There were too many parts in the book that you had to just go with the flow to believe and that's not enough for me. A quick, fun read but not as exciting.
I guess we should all have gone to the movie a dozen times. It apparently did not make enough money to warrant doing a second book although the book is out (The Power of Six). I love Alex Pettyfer - he will always be Jace (The Mortal Instruments) for me even though they cast that awful guy as Jace (one movie I will not go see)
I loved the book, and this was one of the rare movies where I liked the movie, too. Usually I don't like movies/TV shows based upon books. They did change a few things in the movie, I suppose to up the action, but it didn't take too much away from the book. (view spoiler)
I was pleasantly surprised by the movie. I really liked that they didn't go crazy with the angst, though it was definitely a teen movie. I have yet to read the book, but it is on my list.
Thanks guys.. it's funny the actor, Alex Pettyfer.. he's the one as Hunter in Beastly.. I don't know if you've read Sweep but he's exactly the one I've imagined as Hunter in Sweep..It's a shame they won't do a sequel in the film.. I really enjoyed it
The minute I saw his picture he was Jace in City of Bones. There were/are you tube videos all over with him as Jace, and he would have been perfect.I really wanted a sequel to I Am Number Four too! It's one case of the movie being better than the book - and I did like the book.
Supposedly. They cast Jamie Campbell Bower as Jace and I won't watch it. I am not going to have my mental image of Jace ruined and I've had that happen before in book to movie situations.
I've never read the book, but I really enjoyed the movie. I was sad to hear there were no plans of a second movie...or more, the story so easily lent itself to one. I am definitely interested in reading the book to get even more of the story.
I'm heart broken to hear that they are not going to make the next (and the next) movies. I've read
which I think it was better than the first book. I'm so looking forward to The Rise of Nine.
Yes I liked the movie too and the lead guy was also in the movie Beastly which I think was a great movie. It looked like a second movie should come out to continue but I doubt it. Did not read the book.
I read that the movie had to make a hundred million dollars domestic before they would make a sequel. It wasn't as popular as they expected which surprised me as it was pretty well advertised and everyone I know of all ages really liked it. I think it made over fifty million and totaled over a hundred million counting foreign. I remember watching the numbers because I wanted a sequel!
I only saw the movie and I liked it. A lot of action, a romance, some riddles to be solved, a bad-ass as a challenge for the lead guy.. If you ask me, they could have made a sequel, I wouldn´t mind. Never read the book(s). I would have liked to get to know more about those other members of the alien group. That other girl, number... (well, I don´t remember right now) was pretty awesome too in her action and magic. Fun was to see this blue light coming out of Alex´ hands ;-)) I like hot guys doing magic ;-)))
I started reading this series because I liked the trailer of movie, the funny thing is that unfortunately I never get to see the movie ... I really liked "I'm number 4" and "the power of number 6." I am eager to read the next ... I recommend them very much 'cause I enjoyed reading them.
I love the second book. You'd think that it's about the girl # 6 but you'll be surprised. Don't want to give away too much but it's really not..... :-)
I rented the movie honestly expecting it to be awful, but it was crazy dark for being based on a 'young adult' novel. Is the book that violent--don't get me wrong, I thought it was great, I'm just curious.

;-)
I really liked the movie...but this was one instance where I had a very hard time getting through the book. I just felt choppy. The story was fresh and original, it was just something about the way it was written. I love disappearing so deeply in a book that I don't realize I'm reading.....and I definitely knew I was reading with this one...sometimes having to reread a sentence or so just to make sense of it.

The actor...whats his name.. looks like a 'fantasy-face-lover-boy' kind of guy but, good, he looks nice!
The effects are great, top action. You don't want it to end, you want a sequel!!!
thumbs up!
What do you think?
