The Wizengamot serves as the wizard high court of law. The word "Wizengamot" is a portmanteau created from the words "wizard", and "Witenagemot", which was a council of powerful people summoned to advise and appoint kings in Anglo-Saxon England. The word derives from the Old English for "meeting of wise men."\

To conduct a trial, we need a full Wizengamot (aka: 13 people, including the head) and a scribe.

Emma strode into the Wizengamot office and stopped at Jace's desk. "I'm here to schedule Matthew's court date," she said. "Apparently, he's waiting in the atrium. We'll have him in the office within an hour. What dates are available?"

Looking up from a pile of papers he had on his desk, he saw Emma standing before him. "Thats excellent!" He said, smiling. "Uh, well, we could have a trial within the next hour or so, if that works?"

"How about the 4th and 5th? That should give us plenty of time to work out a decision," Emma said. "Any luck with new Wizengamot members?"

[Lyss, Head Warlock of the Wizengamot, Head of Gryffindor]

Looking down at his notebook, he nodded his head. "That's perfect. Would you like the whole pannel to attend? Also, my Father asked if you could meet him in his office." Jace said, looking back up again.

"Yes, we need the full Wizengamot for the trial," Emma replied.

[Lyss, Head Warlock of the Wizengamot, Head of Gryffindor]

"Great." Jace said, smiling.

"Can you schedule another trial on short notice?" Emma asked, walking in.

[Natalie]

Jenna walked in, "What are we dealing with now?"

"We just recently captured Bellatrix, Snape, Karkaroff, and Wormtail."

[Natalie]

Jenna raised an eyebrow, "Wow, we have been busy!"

"You could say that," Emma said. "But capturing them was almost a bit too easy."

[Natalie]

Jenna bent her head back and said, "So in other words we could be in for it." she lloked back and ran a hand through her hair.

"Simply put, yes," Emma said, yawning widely.

[Lyss, Head Warlock of the Wizengamot, Head of Gryffindor]

"Well thats not good." Jace said, looking suspicous. "I could have a trial put together in 4 hours. That good enough?"

[Natalie]

"Great!" Jenna said, "Let's juat hope they don't ambush before then."

[Lyss, Head Warlock of the Wizengamot, Head of Gryffindor]

"Lets hope." He nodded, looking back down at the file in front of him.

[Natalie]

"Okay, what can I do to speed up the case?" Jenna asked putting her weight to her right leg

Thinking for a bit, Jace said. "Not very much really. There will be a notice put up with the date, etc. But you could go get me a cup of coffee." He added, grinning.

[Natalie]

"Fine, but don't get used to to." Jenna said sticking her tounge out and dissapearing through the doorway. She reappeared wih a cup of coffe and set it next to him.

He laughed and took a sip of the coffee. "Thanks." He said sweetly.

[Natalie]

Jenna smiled and sat down next to him, "Who's file you lookin' at?" she said peering overhis shoulder.

"Bella's." He said grimacing. "Wretched hag, isnt she?"

[Natalie]

Jenna laughed, "Yeah. Hope the aurors got her contained."

[Lyss, Head Warlock of the Wizengamot, Head of Gryffindor]

"Well, I certainly hope so. It would be slightly unpleasant if they go an a rampage and destroy buildings agian, wouldn't you say?"

[Natalie]

"Yeah, I hate babysitting deatheaters, always got to clean up after their mess."

[Lyss, Head Warlock of the Wizengamot, Head of Gryffindor]

Jace chuckled. "Just like a messy baby."

[Natalie]

Jenna smiled, "So, what sentence do they have when they get sent to Azkaban?" she asked peering over his shoulder.

[Lyss, Head Warlock of the Wizengamot, Head of Gryffindor]

"Probably life." he replied, looking at her sideways as she tried to read the file in his hands.

[Natalie]

"Wasn't that her previous sentance?"

[Lyss, Head Warlock of the Wizengamot, Head of Gryffindor]

He laughed. "It was, but what else would you like us to sentence her to?"

[Natalie]

"I dunmo, she escaped last time, mabey we need better guard." She asked thoughtfully.

[Lyss, Head Warlock of the Wizengamot, Head of Gryffindor]

He looked at her. "I think you may be forgetting one crucial point here. Last time Voldemort was responsible for breaking them out. Voldey is now dead."

[Natalie]

"I still think that they would be capable of it."

[Lyss, Head Warlock of the Wizengamot, Head of Gryffindor]

"Possibly. But we have alot of Aurors around to keep an eye on them. Plus, the dementors aren't the guards anymore, so they wont be able to be influenced by certain Dark Wizards."

[Natalie]

Jenna giggled a little at an idea, "Sorry, bad idea with nifflers."

[Lyss, Head Warlock of the Wizengamot, Head of Gryffindor]

Raising his eyebrow, Jace looked at her, waiting for her to elaborate.

[Natalie]

"I just went off ponedering what to do and I hought of nifflers and shiny stuff. So, if we did a sitcking charm on a shiny piece of gold or metal ajd have nifflers outside all exits and then some, then if they tried to leave they would get them."

Taking a second to absorb the information, Jace nodded slowly. "Well, its official. You need to go to St Mungo's."

[Natalie]

Jenna laughed, "Hey! It could be very efficient!" she raised her hands in the air.

"Ywah...I'm sure it could. If, you know, pigs could fly and Dementors were friendly...then I'm sure it would work!"

[Natalie]

Jenna laughed, "Hey, it would hold them off till the Aurors go there."
