The book Inside Out and Back Again written by Thanhha Lai is a poerty book.In the book so far the main character,a 10 year old girl escapes from her home(Vietnam) but with her family in a boat.Her father gets captured while in the mission for the navy.The family Is trying to avoid the commander from the navy that takes care of navy families.The family was trying to find a island to stay in with other navy families.They stayed in the boat for about a month and had little food and drink to share with the other families.

That was a good entry. I read Inside Out and Back Again I thought it was an AMZING FANTASTIC book! I LOOOOOOOOOOVED it. I read it in like a day. If you haven't read it read it!!!
It is amazing how much she has squeezed into lean poems. The poems spoke directly to the heart and it gave an amazing sense of intimacy with the writer. The smell, the strangeness, the culture, aleination, and sweet truimph..... Very powerful work!
I agree, Rani. The book penetrates the reader's heart and senses. I loved it and was very moved by this work!
