Just for fun - share what you are reading right now. Are you enjoying it so far?

I am currently reading Where Secrets Lieby Donna Marie Lanheady. I found it here on Goodreads. So far, it is a really good family drama.

Enjoy!
Deanna

Ruth B (ruthb07) I'm reading "Tin Angel" by Kathy Lawrence, actually is the first book in English that my mom gave me but I never read it! so today I found it and decided to give it a try!
When she bought it to me I can't read a word in English... what days those.

Ruty - I'll be interested in reading your review of Tin Angel when you are done. :)

Val (3daygirl) | 1 comments I'm a multiple book at once kind of a girl so I am currently reading "Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder" by Joanne Fluke, which I am loving. So far it's a great lighthearted mystery. The only downside is that it makes me hungry with all the cookie recipes!

I am also trying my best to finish the 9th Undead book, "Undead and Unfinished" by MaryJanice Davidson. As much as the main character Betsy has annoyed me in previous books, she literally has me yelling at the audiobook in this one. I really am not sure if I want to finish it. I truly enjoyed the first 8 books, but this one is just too much for me. I really had hoped to have some character growth by book 9.

Val - "Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder sounds like fun - I may have to read it. I read the first 6 Undead books but stopped - I liked them at first but got tired of them.

It's been a while since I've updated this. I am currently reading "Twelfth Night" by Melanie Jackson. It is Book 2 in the series - the first one was The Secret Staircase. Love them both! Great books.

Holly Bush | 3 comments I'm almost to the end of Truman which has been fascinating and loooonnnggg. Don't know what to start but I've got a few items on my shelf.

Holly - I really enjoy a good biography - I can see where Truman would be an interesting book. I love reading about the lives people led, what shaped them and how their time period differs from our own. :)

Dianna - That book does look good - I've added it to my to-read list.

Samia Ruponti (snoebell92) I have just started If I Tell by Janet Gurtler (I know, late, right?). So far, I'm loving it!

Hi Samia, I took a peek at this book - it looks really good. Can't wait to read your review of it. I am now reading Willow Pond- I'm about half-way through and it's been a good story so far.

Samia Ruponti (snoebell92) Hi Deanna- Willow pond looks interesting. It's a good thing that it's available as an e-book too! I think I'll give it a try!

Samia Ruponti (snoebell92) Just a quick thought, I finished Learning To Swim: A Novel a couple of days ago, and I thought it was awesome! Emotional book lovers should give it a try, I think! :D

Samia - thanks for the recommendation. Learning to Swim does look like a good book. Added it to my "to-read" list.

Angelica Bergman | 1 comments I must admit that I read multiple books at a time. Sometimes I think it is because one hasn't quite caught my small attention span, and sometimes I like the challenge of remembering how the book left off the last time I picked it up. I must say it is harder to skim the pages I read on a my kindle then it is an actual book in my hands. But currently I am trying to focus on "I capture the Castle" by Dodie Smith.

Angelica - I see that a lot of people read more than one book at a time - I have to stick to one at a time myself. Right now I'm reading "Hanna's Blessing" by Colette Scott. It's been pretty good so far.

Dianna - Thanks for sharing. Hope you like my new book - I like it but I wrote it so I'm not my best critic. :)

Samia Ruponti (snoebell92) I'm reading The Catastrophic History of You and Me by Jess Rothenberg now. I have just finished chapter 3 and so far, its interesting.

off topic: anyone else YA here?? ( I am technically an adult now, but still, it's hard to overcome habit and goodreads recommendations!!:P )

Hi Samia - Thanks for commenting. I am many years past being a YA but I do read a lot of YA books - there are so many now to choose from and some are really good!

message 19: by Samia (new)

Samia Ruponti (snoebell92) ok, so I'm reading 7 books at a time!!! anyone else like me here?

Samia - Wow! Seven book at a time! I only read one at a time but I know a few people who do read multiple books at once. Right now I'm reading The Hunger Games. The movie clips looked so good I decided I had to read the book before seeing the movie.

haha, the positive side of ebook readers!!! :P I am still stalling the hunger games series. I've always been disappointed with movies based on a book that I have read.

Samia - I know what you mean - the movies are almost never as good as the actual book. I like knowing the details the book gives that the movie usually leaves out. So far, The Hunger Games is a really good book.
