I normally start around the first week of February or even a little later. Here on the coast and in my northern garden, we can still have pretty chilly weather through the end of May/beginning of June so I don't start my seeds in January like many do!

I left the seedlings outside because it was supposed to be 50. Luckily I didn't trust them entirely so I covered them with a black sheet. But I do take them out during the nice warm days for the extra sunlight and breeze. Spoiled little plants!

I'm going a bit hog-wild with the romas this year. I want to can them and last year only got twelve jars before the heat killed the plants. So, yes, I had to expand my garden, that very one that I wasn't going to expand...
The sun is out. It's 60. COME ON, little friends, GROW!!!
