William or James?
jem Jem JEM ... He's my favorite XD
I love Jem soooo much, but I want Tessa to end up with Will, I know she isn't real but if she were SHE wouldn't deserve Jem.
No doubt about it: WILL!
I have to jump in on the WILL train too. I like Jem but he doesn't do it for me at all. And I don't really see him and Tessa together. It just doesn't feel right.
WILL. While she does love Jem I don't believe she is in love with him as she is with Will
Well it seems like Jem is losing. :((But I agree that Tessa doesn't deserve Jem.
It's clear that she loves Will more.
I totally LOVE Jem but that doesn't mean that I want him to end up with Tessa.
But it would really make me feel better if Tessa sticks to her decision until the end because Jem deserves to be loved.

omg will or jem is an impossible question. i love jem cuz he needs tessa, and he's dying and soooooooo sweet and i just love him soooo much! but then there's will and hes got like this whole tortured soul thing going on and the only person whos made him want to get rid of his curse was tessa and once he realizes he wasnt curse hes so happy and then so disapointed when he finds out that jem and tessa are going to be married! UGH! WHY MUST CASSANDRA CLARE MAKE IT SO HARD TO CHOOSE?!

Will always and forever for me! I think Tessa and Will are meant for each other. I think Jem knows he doesn't have much time left and wants whatever happiness he can have...I think that's why he rushed into engaging Tessa, it seemed awfully quick to me....he barely knew her feelings for a day and popped the question.
OMG!! JEM! However, I do agree that Tessa is WAY to torn up at this point in the series to deserve his full devotion. She needs to be able at this point to like both guys, without being tied down with the engagement to Jem. I really don't want Jem to get his poor hear broken. :'(

And I feel like she kind of went along with Jem's proposal b/c she wanted to completely forget about Will and move on. So, if Will was still a viable possibility, if she didn't think he despised her at that point, she would have NEVER accepted Jem's proposal. I don't necessarily agree that they balance each other... they both take too many risks and tend to not think things through.

Tessa should NOT break Jem's heart. Jem is super fragile. He might die if Tessa leaves him. :((

I totally agree! I do love James Carstairs and he loves Tessa with all his heart, but Tessa belongs with Will. He had the courage and will power to give up the one person he can't live without and was mean to her so he could protect her from his "curse." Another thing when Tessa kissed Jem images of Will popped into her head. She and Will have this fire and passion that Jem can never give her. That "fire" is the love of true soul mates.
Exactly.Proof of that is the fact that when she's with Will, Tessa can only think she doesn't want to hurt Jem. But when she's with Jem (at least until Will told her the truth), all she can think of is 'well it's Will who pushed me away.' so yeah, I think it's pretty clear who her heart's telling her to be with.
I like Will better, more adventurous and stuff...
I like Jem more in general - he's much more awesome than Will, but I think Will's better with Tessa and I think he'll get her in the end. They share their love of books and such.

I am okay with the pair up of Tessa and Jem as the newly engaged couple because he's dying and his character is good guy hot in many ways. But OMG..... are you kidding...Blue eyed, dark haired, angst ridden Will all the way!

I agree with you Rose Jem is so amazing and is everything a girl could want in a guy, but in the end Will gives Tessa this feeling that takes her breath away. A feeling she has to force with Jem. I do hope though that Jem meets someone in the end that makes him so happy! He deserves that much.

I think it would be to predicatble for Tessa to just end up with Will. It really not like Cassandra Clare to write the obvious. I really can't see a HEA for any of the characters, but in the end they are 16 .... everybody at 16 thinks they are in love and it's forever (and forever usually doesn't even last a year)
And the mist of depression is back. -.-Don't get me wrong! You make an excellent point. I think, yes, we have to be realistic, and that means there won't be a happy ending for all the characters.
Maybe Tessa's the one who dies and she becomes a spirit or something. That would be cool.Improbable, but it's late here so my brain isn't functioning properly. I'm going to say a lot of crap tonight, I can feel it.
I mean it would be a suprise to the readers if Tessa and Jem remain together in the next book, but the problem is how will it go with the readers. Cassandra Clare has built up a lot of this emotional tension between Will and Tessa so I don't find it reasonable at this point to keep Tessa and Jem together.

I think Cassandra Clare wants readers to think that Tessa will end up with Will. But I think there's going to be a big surprise, again, in the Clockwork Princess. Maybe Tessa would leave both of them. I just don't want Jem to die. It's too predictable so it should not be done! :(
Well I think Jem should meet someone else who loves him in a way Tessa never can. She and Will belong together and even though it is predictable it feels right.
Will is all mine Tessa can find some other british bloke.
After finishing Clockwork Angel, I would have picked Jem, because he's so sweet and nice and his illness is really tragic. Will seemed harsh and very Jace-like in the first book also.But after reading Clockwork Prince, I would pick Will all the way. He's actually really sweet, and he's spent so long thinking that nobody in the entire world loves him. Underneath all of the arrogant, Jace-like dialogue, he's an entirely different person, and when he isn't trying to make everybody hate him, he's so gorgeous it's almost criminal @_@.

Will and Jace are like the same guy in a different time so it's pretty hard to choose between the two. They have SO much in common. Perhaps Jem is right about the Wheel! :D
Anyway, who's better, JEM CARSTAIRS or WILL HERONDALE?
Who do you think deserves Tessa?
Of course I'm in JEM'S TEAM!
Will's got the whole package (for others maybe) but I'm more attracted to Jem.
