Sarah’s Key Book Review

In this book Sarah’s key is about two separate stories. One is about a little girl named Sarah trying to save her brother because she let him in their hidden closet in their home for safety. The other story is about a journalist named Julia who wants to know about Sarah’s story for her article. It took place during the holocaust. The book is in between the past and the present.
The author of this book is Tatiana De Rosnay. The main characters in 1942, Sarah’s story are Sarah Starzynski, Rachel, Sarah’s parents, and her brother Michel. In the second story the main characters are Julia Jarmond, Bertrand Tezac, Zoe Tezac, and William Rainsferd. Sarah’s story took place in the 1940s. Julia’s story time period took place in 2002.
Basically the story in 1942 is about the ten year old girl Sarah and her family were taken to Vel’ d’Hiver Roundup, but Sarah locked up her brother for safety in a hidden closet at home and tells him that she will come back and not to move from their. She takes her key with her when she and her parents were transported to Velodrome d’Hiver. After now she is trying to save her little brother Michel. The story about Julia based in 2002 is about this journalist after moving in an apartment of her grandparents investigates Vel’ d’Hiv Roundup. Which talks about Sarah Starzynski’s story, which takes back 65 years ago during the holocaust when the Nazis murdered the Jews.
This book is really entertaining and I believe that this is a really good book.
It’s a depressing story, but its worth to read it. I actually believe that it teaches you how it was the holocaust in the 1940s. In conclusion, this is really a magnificent book. So, it’s between the past and the present. This book is one of my best books I ever read. I believe readers should read this book even though it’s depressing.
