Hi Anthony, welcome to the group. "Historicals" are a favorite here, so I'm sure you'll get lots of recommendations.
What kind of music do you play? I don't play myself, but I am surrounded by musicians here at home. Piano, clarinet, guitar... kazoo :-)

Hi Hayes. I play blues, rock'n'roll, country, pop. I'm self taught so it's been a long, slow learning curve.

Hi Keri. Thanks for the welcome. I see you've read The Keep. I thought the book was great but the film was terrible. That's very often the way.

I like Bram Stoker even though I have only read two of his. James Mcgee is a current author of historical novels that I like very much. I see you play the guitar. How are you getting on with it?

As for my guitar playing, it is on hold at the moment. I have a frozen shoulder and I can't even get my arm over my guitar just now. I am desperate to get back to it. I love James Taylor's playing and also Jim Croce(under-rated and forgotten in my opinion) but I also love rock. I wouldn't have found Goodreads if I hadn't hurt myself though so I suppose something good came out of it. :)

I'm another historical mysteries fan. :) Thanks for mentioning James Mcgee...he seems right up my alley. :)

Hope your shoulder is better soon, Jane. I admire both the musicians you mentioned. I don't play a picking style myself. Having been in a few bands I mostly play rhytm or improvise solos etc.

Hi Shameless. Yes, James Mcgee writes authentically. I can particularly recommend 'Rapscallion' and 'The Resurrectionists'. James can certainly get up anyone's alley!

Hi Jane - I can sympathise - I went through a frozen shoulder a couple of years ago - very painful! It runs in our family - my mother and aunt have each had two. Try to keep moving!

Hello J.C.. Nice to meet a fellow author. I hope we can talk a little more later on.
