I suggest . It's meant for young kids yet it was a really fun read with a great message. The dialogue was really witty, the character were all unique and just overall it was great!

I agree 1984 is amazing. I read it the first time in 5th grade. It was a bit over my head, but I've read it several times since. It's a dark and scary possibility and although 1984 has come and gone, it stills fills true as Big Brother inches into our lives more and more everyday. This is one of those great first dystopian novels along with Brave New World. Everyone should read these two books.

I totally agree. 1984 is scary because society every day gets closer to becoming Oceania. (view spoiler)[ One of the most disturbing things to me was how no one but Winston questions authority. Brave New World by Adolus Huxley was written in 1931 about a possible future, somewhat similar to 1984. Here's a goodreads link to the blurb.

I adore that book! I gave on it the first time I tried to read it though. But the second time I was just in love with it :P

I liked Matched, but compared to all of the other dystopian literature out there right now, I just don't think it holds a candle. Waiting for Reached to come in to see how it ends, though...maybe it will salvage the whole series for me.

I liked Matched but it was a bit bland. I wished there was more action instead of only romance.

I would definitely recommend The Picture of Dorian Gray and AN Ideal Husband; A Woman of No Importance are great, especially if you know much about the author's life. His wit and biting satire are even more telling with knowledge of the life he led, which was quite flamboyant.

I am not sure whether to read that series or not... I read one of them but it was sooo long ago. I don't know if i didn't continue it because I didn't like it or because I got caught up in other books.

I don't know if you would like it.It's kind of a odd series and I remember liking it so much when I was much younger. I don't even know if I would like it now.
