Robert J. Sawyer is Canada’s leading science fiction writer, winner of over 40 national and international awards for his bestselling fiction, including the Nebula, the Hugo, and the John W. Campbell Memorial Award. He was born in Ottawa, Ontario and has had published over 20 novels. Sawyer’s work often explores the interaction between science and religion. His studies and interest in human consciousness piqued my interest. I chose his book called “Wonder” which is the third book of the WWW trilogy that began with Wake and rest continued in Watch. The title of this book is quite mysterious itself as well as the cover. The cover is highly appealing especially the picture of the girl in the middle. Her mystifying expressions made me curious to find out the story behind it. This book is about a sixteen year old girl Caitlin Decter, who discovered webmind. A world wide web that spontaneously emerged and is changing everything. Caitlin is desperately trying to help her friend. Sawyer’s writing style and vocabulary is tremendous from what I read so far. I can’t wait to find out what happens next!
