Character Picture

Good job!

Now think of a character from a well known piece of literature, movie, or TV show that fits the roll of the Hero.

Find a picture of this character and post it in the discussion section of this website.

TO POST

1. Highlight the website location at the top of the screen.

2. Go to the "Edit" tab at the top of the screen and click on "copy"

3. Go to the "Hero Teacher Circle" discussion page.

4. Scroll down to "comment"

5. Click in the blank box

6. Go back to the "Edit" tab and click "paste"

7. Make sure to tell your group what character you have found.

8. If you have time tell your group WHY this is a good character for the group to focus on. Remember, you want to convince your group to focus on your character.

1. An archetype is a universal theme or image that can manifest itself differently on an individual basis but ultimately always has the same meaning. It’s like comparing two different kinds of cars—individually, one’s a Ford and the other’s a Toyota, but ultimately, they’re both cars—but instead of cars, we’re comparing ideas or themes.

2. A Hero is a the magnanimous, courageous figure. For Example: Hercules.

1. unusual circumstances of birth sometimes in danger or born into royalty.
Leaves family or land and lives with others.
An event, sometimes traumatic, leads to adventure or quest.
Hero has a special weapon only he can wield
Hero always has supernatural help
The hero must prove himself many times while on adventure
The journey and the Unhealable Wound
Hero experiences atonement with father
When the hero dies, he is rewarded spiritually

1.Hero means to protect and to serve

2. Hero is someone who is willing to sacrifice his own needs on behalf of others

3.The root of the idea of Hero is connected with self-sacrifice.
